How crazy is it that we are even in the top 10?

Well, it's been waaaay too long! I've been having some feelings of deja vu from 1998 when we won it all, although I don't quite have the gut feeling about this team like I had for the 98 team. Teams were different in 1998 in terms of greatness and vols weren't blowing them out like this season. Anyway, I haven't had this much optimism for vols future in a while. GBO!!!

Weird feeling this year. Two years ago I would have never believed we would be here in the next decade, and we’re here already.

That being said, to give an analogy, I do intense weight training 4 times per week. I am probably the most muscular I have ever been. I look at myself when lifting and think “I can’t believe I look like this right now”, but then it’s immediately followed up with “I want more. I want to be bigger, leaner, etc”

Basically what I’m saying is, I’m thrilled we are here right now, but dang it, I want the playoffs.

Honestly 10/10 crazy. 10-2 was an optimistic pipe dream you were mostly laughed at if you predicted before the season. I predicted 9-3 and that even felt a little rosy. As long as we finish the regular season as expected I would consider this the most overachieving Tennessee team since I started paying attention in the Andy Kelly years.

Crazy for sure. Enjoy it while it lasts. High expectations have been set and hopefully the fan base doesn't go "crazy" next year if we're off this year's pace a little.

We are a major program with many many resources. I’m a bit surprised but this University is built for this. It’s just the resources and right parts have to be in sync. Just think about it, We were close in 2016 with a terrible HC & coaching staff. I am thrilled but I can’t punctuate it with, not in a million years.

exactly right... funny watching these other fan bases talk smack for us getting beat by Georgia and we are like
"uh wait, have you see how far we've come... we're just happy to be ranked and we're in the running for the playoffs now are you kidding me"

I mean am I right or am right? Being in top 5 after the meat of our schedule is just crazy.. This season just doesn’t feel real. We’re most likely going to a major bowl if not the playoffs.

Never in a millions years….
I have felt numb all year can't explain it. It's hard to wrap your head around it, considering where we we're 2 years ago.

Everybody who hasn’t been to see them this year (including myself) needs to get your a$$ off the couch and get into Neyland this Saturday. This team and this year are special. We very well may be looking at a playoff team and potential national champion. Either way, GBO 🍊🍊🍊

I remember back in the day when that was common place year in year out during Majors & early Fulmer years…

It was expected by most to be top 15 at the very least

Back when you walked up hill to school both ways and did it bare footed as well. Tell us more of the ways of hunting Buffalo with the spear old timer. 😉
