Beacuse of the AD's that hired him. Neither retained their jobs. He is next.

Make millions of dollars by essentially failing everywhere you go. We should all be so lucky.

Isn't he making approx. 4.1 million and his dad is making approx. 2.1 million? I thought I saw that on an HBO report or Yahoo.

Because nobody else wanted the job and he's a good recruiter. Even if he fails at coaching, he'll probably leave the program in better shape than any other coach would have given the bowl ban and scholarship reduction. I don't think he was meant to win, just recruit. Winning is just a bonus.

At least the next coach will have some pieces in place after Lane's three year tenure.

So if Dooley beats both of those teams at home like Kiffin did will he be your new hero?

If he beats them by 44 combined points then I'll certainly take a step back and reevaluate my opinion of him.

You can throw any number you want due to USC being a private school though.

There's no way to check unless Sexton's office confirms it.

Yeah, I know. The numbers were leaked but never confirmed, so who knows. Just thought those were pretty daunting numbers.

Mark Richt and Steve Spurrier probably don't think so.

Because beating those 2 is the measuring stick for success as a coach. Forget about conference titles, bowl wins, and ships.

If you like Kiffin, that's fine. But don't make up bull**** reasons to call him successful.

What coach would have won a championship in Year 1 with the garbage the Phailure left behind?
