The closer we get to signing day, it's going to come up more and more. Not from the same people but from folks who don't get interested in recruiting until we get close enough to signing day that local newspapers and talk radio start giving it significant ink/airtime. Most of the people who are just now looking at the commitments of Rivals TN state rankings list are probably going to wonder wtf happened and come to forums such as this one looking for answers. Maybe there should be a pinned thread for elite recruits that we ain't gettin'.

Or someone doesn't want to read hundreds of posts in a thread so they bump it with a question and then get attacked for bumping a thread that some people want to stay buried.

I agree that more people will come over here to complain about it. You had a valid point until your last statement. You had to get in one more jibe. It just seems to me that you can't help yourself.

I agree with the OP. If we were "coaching up" the recruits then I'd be OK with getting mostly 3 stars............but we're not. Yes, we've heard this story before, but we have heard ALL the stories before. You guys are not funny when you try and bash the OP, just showing your ignorance again. A good example is the OL. They are very inconsistent and sometimes inept. If we keep getting 6th SEC rated recruiting classes, our ceiling will always be 8-4. Rant over.

Liked for the use of "eleventy"! When we were deployed to Iraq there was a stretch where the temperature stayed above eleventy five degrees for several weeks straight. It was brutal but not as brutal as the thread and it's pointlessness. :)

This forum is for discussion not just info. If there is breaking or important news on a recruit the cream will rise to the top. Wish they hadn't outlawed ludes.

We have lost to Wyoming Vandy, USCe, Kentucky, nearly lost to South Alabama, Air Force, and App State. Alabama lost to ULM and Utah, Oklahoma lost to Boise St, Michigan lost to App State....All with higher rated players. I could go on forever. Higher star rated players definitely helps but coaching and execution is the answer. Not stars.

It could be called something else such as 'Elite prospects that we scrapped for but who seem determined to play ball elsewhere'. So long as the title is sufficient to provide notice that it is the place to go for that sort of information.

Agreed that the thread titles are a big reason for the hate in this forum.

If it reads something like, "Why we always..."

and the first line of the thread follows with, "Get 3* recruits."

Don't complain when the venom flows. Don't waste my time by trying to pull me into a thread I may have zero interest in.

How do we decide if we want to read it if there is no subject?

Taking a glance at the FF and a good portion of the thread titles do not contain a subject (person, place or thing that is being dealt with or discussed).

Call it what you want, but I'm fairly confident I can speak for the RF when I say, we do not want that here.

Give us an effing subject in the least.
