Keeping one's mouth shut is the best remedy.I usually attend one game per year. The last few years have been cupcake games so I never end up yelling too much after the first quarter.
I went to the Florida game and yelled quite a bit all night long!
Now I'm paying the price! Its nothing to bad, but I was thinking about going to the Bama game but not sure I could / want to mess up the vocal cords anymore Lol.
How does one yell without losing your voice?
As a Millenial in their 30s, it's probably because y'all keep grouping all young people in with Millenials and blaming us for everything lolI can't believe an almost blue hair is fussing about millennials not standing yelling and other wise being obnoxious toward us of the boomer population. What is this world coming to?
It has been my experience that it has been the reverse, the millennials are blaming those of us of the older persuasion for all the woes. Begs the question, why can't we all get along? As a Millenial in their 30s, it's probably because y'all keep grouping all young people in with Millenials and blaming us for everything lol
I can't relate on the not yelling part though. I never have a voice after the game.
My experience has been the younger generations get looked down on by the older generations for not doing things the way it was "back in their day".It has been my experience that it has been the reverse, the millennials are blaming those of us of the older persuasion for all the woes. Can you whistle loudly? Exhausts the lungs but not the vocal cords. I both yelled and whistled and still have a raspy voice.I usually attend one game per year. The last few years have been cupcake games so I never end up yelling too much after the first quarter.

You make a valid point, but not all advice from a boomer is bad or out of date. To ignore sage advice is not wise. I do recall however unless I asked for it as a youth I probably resented it as well mostly because it came across as an order as opposed to what it was intended. My experience has been the younger generations get looked down on by the older generations for not doing things the way it was "back in their day".
Like houses for example. You can't get house advice from a boomer because the market is nowhere near the same. I do wish some things would change back to they used to be though.
Definitely. I try not to really focus on that kind of thing too much. I try to approach most things with an open mind even if I don't fully agree. You make a valid point, but not all advice from a boomer is bad or out of date. To ignore sage advice is not wise. I go insane every down. A pro tip is begin with bass voice. When you lose it do a "rebel yell" type of pitch. Treble is fine when voice is lost. I am likely the loudest fan in neyland or at least top 10. I'm that guy that stomps and smacks a chair lmaoI usually attend one game per year. I told my section to get loud or never come back and used flashlight strobes from the front of the section stair area on them and pump them the **** up. When I see someone who isn't old as hell not cheering every down I personally want to snap their little ****ing neck in half or throw them off the upper deck in section QQI was there Saturday, still don't have much of a voice today. I'm 62 and thousands of younger people around me just standing not yelling or clapping their hands, I tried to get them yelling, but to no avail. Wish they would just stay at home or let someone get their tickets that would give their all. It's been that way the last 4 years around my seats.
