How do you defend bruce this year?

we show ZERO heart. JP prince is a JOKE, bobby maze WILL not drive the lane, Chism and Williams have NO post moves for big men, and our D is HORRID. When will SOMEONE on the coaching staff take notice to atleast 1 of these problem areas.

It's pretty easy. He's averaging 25 wins a year. This year has been pretty awful, but we are still likely in the NCAA.

I don't blame this on coaching. Sometimes you get a group of players that no matter how hard you try, no matter what you do or how you coach, they just don't get it. You can't instill heart and desire, or focus. That's what the team is lacking this year. And if I had to guess, I'd say that CBP is ready to snap because of it. He's too competitive to be ok with it.

I agree. Heart and the desire to win can't be coached and I think that is a part of the problem. There are some coaching problems but they can't all be put on Bruce's shoulders.

These boys aren't living up to their potential, but the blame can't all be laid at the feet of our head coach. Does anyone else see Bruce shaking up his staff of assistants before the next season begins?

I look at this way I mean tell me if I am wrong anybody.

He has turned the program around.

I mean the recruits we have got great potential.

What I look at is the future we have coming Kenny hall

The next years recruiting class we have josh selby, Jordan Mcrae, and Aaron Craft.

Bruce is doing a good job on recuriting for the future

Guard play dominates NCAA b-ball. Last year we had seniors. This year we have first year starters. Shooting and defense have suffered. It doesn't fall squarely on Bruce because they have been missing open shots. When you miss shots you can't set up the press and create turnovers, so the defense looks a lot worse.

Some of our freshmen have shown big potential. I think Tatum and Negedu will be contributors for the next couple of years. We really need a sharp shooter. That's what makes Pearl's system click.

its hard to watch, but a couple years ago nobody would even be talking about a loss to kentucky because it would be signed sealed and delivered. this team will get better. bruce is the man.

get better? yeah they've been improving by leaps and bounds here lately

Even post-cancer, Chris Lofton played better than this year's 'healthy' guards. Dane Bradshaw was a better leader and "glue-guy" in his sleep than Bobby Maze or Tyler Smith will ever be. That's the kind of leadership and the sort of athletes Bruce is going to need to get the Vols back to the top of the SEC. :crossfingers:
