Maybe I'm just hoping but the only team we should lose to is LSU and Maybe SC So I'm thinking 10-2

8-4/9-3 and a bowl game...that's it...no titles of any sort this year.

I really think we'll go 10-2, 9-3 at the worst case, with loses to LSU and either Florida or Georgia. I don't see us beating both of them this year but I think we can get fired up and take one probably Georgia. If we go 9-3 it's because we lose to Cal. We make it to a decent bowl.

I voted for bowl game. I think UT is too good and has too much talent not to bounce back and have an above .500 season. On the other hand, those 10 of you who predicted an SEC championship are on drugs, Mr. Gambini.

i don't think we will win an SEC title this year either, but i could see a scenario where were we able to be at USC and UGA, and UF lose three games in conference (not completely out of the realm of possibilities) we could play for one this year....

I tested clean 2 months ago, thanks. However I do see these often :elephant: Is that bad? I figure you might know with all the ambulance chasing. :whistling:

I think pretty much the same but I can't figure out a team on our sched. that is more talented. I think that it could be a special season when all comes together. When Ainge just says screw it and drops the baggage and then we let Foster and Meach do their thing, we will be tough.:rock2::rock2:

I am glad you are not my boss, sounds like you would judge my career based on my first week of work!!!

You have no room for improvement. Cal may get us, but I see us improving a lot and will win at least 2 of the following: UGA, AL, LSU

I would say either 9-3 or 10-2 thus an SEC Title or Appearence wouldnt be out of the question

I voted "No SEC Championship". Bowl Game/No Bowl Game should not even be an option, considering the ridiculous number of bowl games and the fact that it just takes a .500 record to be bowl eligible. I see the Vols probably goin' 9-3. I feel Cal is a big game, though, in determining which way the season may go. Although it's not a must win, it is important for the mind-set of the team, and we need to do a better job of winning at home against ranked teams than we have done in the recent past.

I was just lookin' through some old threads and thought that this one was kinda interesting, because it shows what VolNation was expecting back in mid-August, before the season began. Most people's expectations for this year's football team were just to get to a bowl game. The football team went 9-3, and are playing in a New Year's Day bowl. So I guess they exceeded most, but not all, of the VolNation poster's expectations.

Interesting. I see a lot of 9-3 predictions out there.

The further we get from last year, the worse it looks. That team was much more talented than this one, had a superior defense (could have used that one twice!), was better in the OL, and had everybody else to go along with it.

We essentially took a top 5 team 5-6 that should have had a shot at the NC.

There is no need for predictions! Go to to the games,clap like hell ( don't make to much noise) and be happy with whatever the end result might be! We are Tennessee! Nothing else matters!
