Good point. Haven’t found stats for this year yet. But last year the offense averaged 70 plays per game and defense was on field for average of 77 plays per game. That was third most in the country.
Some other interesting metrics to look at could be like pointers per play. It the defense is taking a lot more snaps and staying on the field how effective are they on a play by play basis and how does it change through the game? Obviously dudes are gonna be more tired later on, which is not a new concept by any stretch, but looking at how both sides of the ball do on a per snap basis versus in more traditional balanced systems might be interesting.
