I cried in the floor when the kick went through. My wife cried as she broke a chair and a cabinet door lol.

Wife never watched football before she met me. So this was her first time seeing us beat Alabama.

I'm man enough to say I cried..... This is only the second time i've shed tears in victory over a sporting event. The first time was when Tiger walked up 18 at Augusta in 2019.

Screamed, cried, ran around the house singing Rocky Top. So proud of our coaches, our players, and our fans. Yesterday was a University win. These two weeks that GameDay has come out have been one long infomercial for the University of Tennessee. Finebaum put Chancellor Plowman on his show for god's sake.

I can say unequivocally I'm PROUD to be a Vol today!

I was matter-of-factly about it. Mildly surprised we pulled it off after all the blunders made on our side. I started out having no doubt McGrath would make the play. BUT, for a moment, I froze on seeing that Bama guy jump the line and charge forth. I could see the blocked or deflected ball in my mind's eye. As it cleared the Bama's hand, I fully expected the ball to follow the same track and the Bama attempt. I admit I was puzzled as it wobbled like a wounded duck, yet maintained a sure path between the legs uprights of the goal posts. I actually believed the ball had fallen short. Then the zebras raised their arm to signal success. My reaction was along the lines of, "I'll be darn. We won this thing."

My daughter, who is a senior at UT, called me all emotional. I’m usually the one losing my mind, but my experience was more one of relief.

Enjoyed last night. Couldn't sleep. Saw HH and mother's picture after the game dropped a tear. Chills what a moment for the young man.
