Watched it with my 95yo dad, 5yo grandson and a house full of family members that were jumping up and down, dancing with great emotional JOY!!!
Memory of a lifetime. It was PRICELESS!!!
And yes, I bawled. I kept thinking about the last 15 years and how what I had just witnessed felt like the ending to an award-winning film. (It may BE one someday!)
I woke up this morning and immediately turned on the TV to find coverage to make sure I hadn't dreamed it all. Seriously. I did.
After the game, extreme joy, screaming and shouting. dancing to Rocky Top!!! Then watching videos of fans rushing the field, the players celebrating and hugging their moms… that was a different kind of emotion. So much pride in our team for never giving up. Yes, crying.
More than I should have probably. But that game was about more than alabama. This season is about more. It’s about 12 plus years of sucking. 12 plus years of being mediocre. And now, it’s finally our time again. And it’s especially meaningful because my oldest son is around the same age that I was when I really got into Tennessee football and we were busting heads.
Gave my wife and 5 year old boy hug at Same time. Pointed to heaven. We were all smiling like a weight had been lifted. We had heavy hearts of joy last night. My boy was just happy cuz mom and dad were happy!
I howled at the moon a couple of times. Got every dog in the neighborhood howling. I am so pumped up that I couldn't sleep last night. On a positive note, I used the time to catch up on some things I have been putting off.
I should sleep like a Mastiff tonight.
I’ll be 73 in two months. Been a Vol fan since 1961. Last night’s game was about as emotional as I’ve ever been. When I saw McGrath’s kick wobbling and tumbling I thought it was no good. Then the refs raised their arms….I just went numb. Didn’t move for what seemed a very long time. Then I heard my wife screaming and came back to myself. But I still couldn’t seem to move. I was grinning so big I thought my face was going to split. Then I started laughing and just laughed for a long time like a lunatic. After that I was just too exhausted to do anything but watch the celebration - and read threads on VN, of course.
Hallelujah!!! GO BIG ORANGE!!
I’m one happy old fart!
I've only watched game highlights 5 times, watched Heupel's press conference 2 times, Saban's press conference once, laughed at Henry T's press conference, and constantly refreshed Twitter until the goal post made it to the river. Lol
I'm in my mid 20's and have followed football since 2009. So I've never seen us beat Bama so to say I'm over the moon is an understatement. What a game
