Hyatt recorded a 10.46 in the 100m and 21.14 in the 200m. He has run an electronically timed 4.29 40 at UT, but that was last year. He has only gotten stronger. Baylor WR Tyquan Thornton broke the Combine record last year with a 4.21. Any chance Hyatt beats that? I have heard the track at Indy is slow and nerves will be present so I am betting he ends up around a 4.3.

that would be an unfortunate stance for that poster to take. Idiotic even, considering all Hyatt did for us this past season.Maybe. I thought it was a reference to Hyatt not being a VFL because he left early or something. If not, my apologies.
For Tillman a 4.55 is fine for Hyatt a 4.4 is no bueno. Hope he improves on it at orodsy .he just fell out of first round conversations likely while Byron Young moved up. There is a good chance Tiilman goes agead of him and honestly Tillman is a better overall pro prospect anyway.
Round 1-2
Wright
Young
Hooker (depending on medical could drop to 3rd)
Round 2-4
Tillman
Hyatt (unless he shows out at proday and a team falls in love)
Day3
Banks
Aside from Tyreek Hill and maybe Stefon Diggs, all those names were thicker WR’s with subtle differences in their style of play than a speed receiver. And both Hill and Diggs were fifth round picks fwiw. This discussion isn’t about what they end up at the professional level. Hyatt gets his chance and sets his market on the field. Never gets timed again afterwards. Some of y'all are putting waaayy too much stock in a 40 time. If the top 5 WRs in the NFL right now are Jefferson, Tyreek Hill, Devante Adams, Stefon Diggs, and AJ Brown....Hyatt's 40 time is faster than all of the above aside from Hill.

"Speed receivers" aren't really a thing in the NFL. You can't just be fast to be a good NFL WR because the DBs are faster in most cases. If Jalen can't get separation in other ways besides speed, he will just have an average career.Aside from Tyreek Hill and maybe Stefon Diggs, all those names were thicker WR’s with subtle differences in their style of play than a speed receiver. Not “just” but everybody has a claim going into their career. His has been uncanny speed and that’s never been disputed. It’s made many receivers first or second day picks. Afterwards of course you need to be able to play to get that second contract. Haven’t advocated otherwise."Speed receivers" aren't really a thing in the NFL. He weighed in at 176.. definitely out of the first round. If he'd run mid to low 4.3 and weighed in at his listed weight sure first round but 176 at 6 feet and he's probably put on as much as he is gonna he was 153 coming out of HS. All he has is speed and a 4.4 ain't enough. I hope I'm wrong and he shows out on his pro day with a 4.2 and blows it all up. I think Tillman is a better prospect and will do better in the NFL.He did not fall out of the 1st round.
There's still a ton of tape of him pulling away from SEC DBs
He's the best deep threat coming out of college in who knows how long.
There's many dudes he would smoke in the 100 that would nip him in the 40.
What about his routes?
What about his hands?
Reading the coverage on his choice routes on the fly?
He's above average with all these things plus blazing fast.
4.4 flat isn't anything to sneeze at.
