Here's the recruits I've found thus far to attend the UF game:

Lamont Wade
Deangelo Gibbs
Keiondre Jones
Kenyatta Watsonn II
Owen Pappoe

There probably are a few more & that can be found out on Friday. Thanks!

Perpetually losing to Florida didn't keep Fulmer from assembling some of the most talent we've ever seen on the Hill. Need a whole buncha W's either way.

More important to us fans than recruits, IMO.

Fulmer beat Florida a handful of times. And times change, we need to start beating Florida with regularity. In my eyes we own them and always will. It starts again this year.

Normally, one game means very little to a recruit. Relationships with coaches, early playing time, etc are way more important to a recruit. That probably won't change Saturday, win or lose, those that were coming, still will be at TN.

That said, as a program, this is the BIGGEST game of CBJ career. The projectory of the program is at stake with this one game. Tn has more talent, has more experience, and is at home. The game is there for the taking. A HUGE break was just given to TN, the opposing QB just went down and they won't even get any experience with this offense for the backup. Game is served up on a silver platter.

If Butch can't beat Fla Saturday, one has to ask if he ever will.

'95 and '97 classes were two of the best all time in UT history, which also happened at the same time you couldn't spell Citrus without U-T. Didn't stop Fulmer.

I want CBJ to be successful for years to come but I do believe this game will have an effect on some bigger rated players we are on. I think beating UF, GA and maybe Bama would change 2018 more than 2017.

IMO, beating Georgia isn't as important this year because we did beat them last year. Does it help if we win? Sure. Does it hurt much if we lose? With the exception of having to listen to GA fans for a year.....Not much.

Alabama? If we win....absolutely helps. If we lose. Doesn't really change anything.

Florida? Must win. Don't care if we have so many injuries we have to start suiting up people from the student section. Find a way to win.

There also wasnt an 11 year streak.

True, but either way, the perception of the monkey was there. Now we were winning 10 games a year which helped, but Spurrier's shadow loomed large over Fulmer.

And Butch only has a three game streak and that's all that matters to him.

It was a monkey then, its a gorilla now.

As of now way more 2018 guys will be there than 2017 guys. I think most are saving their OV for the Bama game.

It's not important in the sense that recruits are gonna jump on board when we win.

It's important because it's such a huge game for this program and for Butch's lifespan as a coach. Huge credibility game.

Knoxville will be toxic with a loss on Saturday. It will be electric with a win.

The national media will annihilate Butch, and it will be hard for recruits to ignore the noise.

A Vol fan friend of mine in another state asked me about the general attitude here in East TN. I told him the loss last year to FL burned a lot of bridges with local fans and media. Think about it: If we win that game (and everything else stays the same), Butch kills the losing streak and we're at least a 10 win team with an SEC East title.

So yea, I think this game is a watershed moment in Butch's career at UT. It's 'put up or shut up' time. And to make it more intense, you've got the Florida players running their mouths. If we lose again, their taunts are more amplified and he will have used up all the good will. It will be a tough road to earn back everyone's respect. That sounds dramatic but I think it's true.

All IMO, of course.

Only thing that might save him at that point is a win over bama
