I haven't watched too much of Florida this season. How's the quarterback situation? Play calling? Defense?

Any Florida fans care to give a brief summary about their team so far?

Overall defense is solid. Offense is average. Flashes of talent but can't sustain a drive. Grier is the real deal.

Offensive line is easily overcome by a pass rush. Against SEC caliber speed I think you'll see a lot of screen passes and rb's staying back to pass block.

So it will be tough for us to ever beat anybody really deep.

That sounds familiar

That sounds familiar. I still might take FL OL over ours

You'll beat the ish out of Tennessee, as usual.

I agree with lawgator's assessment.

I think Florida is better than last year, but they aren't good.

The big difference is that they seem to be capable of doing things they couldn't do last year. It doesn't mean they do those things well or consistently, but at least the idea of doing it isn't completely out of the realm of possibility.

With pass protection, I believe Florida has the ability to have a decent passing game. Pass protection will be a problem against better competition, however.

I think by seasons end we will be a lot better, but only if CJM goes ahead and sticks with Grier. Harris just too erratic and does not have the skill sets (or height) to be a pocket passer. And the wild scrambles by him, though fun to watch when he finds space, are once again far too erratic to plan an offense around.

Funny thing I see us being better with Freon THIS yr. If the OL gets better at run blocking this team could very well win the East with Harris. Not a polished passer and the playbook has to be downsized for him to succeed but kid has that it factor. Love Grier's ceilings but he'll cost us a few games this yr bc of him trusting his arm too much. Had another 2-3 bad reads that could have gone for Ints. 7-5 or 6-6 with WG and 8-4 w Harris. Jmo tho

Hardin will cost us a game this year. Book it.
