No, this isn't about Palin. Its the Dow. As of right now its down around 8700. My prediciton is that the bottom is 7,000, or roughly 50 % down for the year, and is reached on Wednesday of next week.

We haven't had the volume to mark a bottom. Wasnt going to happen today with the Jewish Holiday. We have had all the other signs of a bottom, just not a huge volume day

and yes BOA is a survivor

good point. Same difference, cheaper price. BofA just bought up some really cheap operating cash flow for the long run and are massively undervalued today, especially if RE bad debt gets massively reduced.

how much of this can be considered a correction to make up for the housing market crashing back to earth?

no one will convince me we are 35% worse off than we were 10 days ago when everyone was going bankrupt.

intrinsic value is what it is and there is no way in hell that current pricing reflects it. Anyone wanting to just by some SPDRs can make great money over the coming weeks.

If I weren't so concerned about my job situation I would go invest all the cash I've been storing against the eventuality that my company goes under.

no lending = market tumble

no lending = no earnings for the banks. when these loan officers start realizing their bonus is going to be zero wel start seeing people lend.

another inverse sign is all the closed end funds at 40-50% discounts to asset value.

Can't I basically get the same information on the economy by burying a lock of hair with three turnips and something blue under the willow during a full moon?

that's the Obama plan. It doesn't work worth a damn, but lots of idiots will believe it works.

Dont step in right now, dont try to be a hero. Thats Gambling. The market is parabolic and I wouldnt be a buyer until we break that pattern, when we do find support and the market is no longer in free fall, then you can buy, thats investing
