I agree, minus either SC or LSU. 5 is a solid number.

Not only did we pass on Sumlin in 2010 we passed on Brian Kelly in 2008 when he was at Cinn. and coming off a conference championship.

Based on the poor hires in the past and the passing on coaches that are now winning big at other places ( Sumlin and Kelly) I'm not 100% convinced our admin and boosters will get the right guy. You have to admit their track record has been piss poor. Wade Houston Buzz Peterson Dooley. Even guys they hired that were good didnt work out like Bruce Pearl.

The only encouraging thing I can say to this post is the fact that at least we aren't using a d-mned search firm to find a coach this time around.

Maybe Hart and the money men can get it right.

I'm going to get flamed for this. But I do think it's pretty funny that TAM, a team that had only played for the Big 12 title 1 time in the last 14 years, came into the SEC and won 10 games this year and beat the defending national champs at their house.

Yeah--A&M played well this year and you have to respect them...I hope that they get into the Cotton Bowl and beat the crap out of Texas...

But--they did catch Bama at just the right time when Bama had a VERY physical game in Baton Rouge the week before and their D-Line was beaten up pretty good by LSU...

But--no way A&M is the better team than Bama--just better on the day that mattered...by a whopping 5 points...and with 3 bama turnovers...and a PERFECT game by Manziel....:salute:
