How Many Turnovers are Acceptable

I don't really even look at the assist to turnover ratio. It's just not of great importance. All that really matters is ppp (points per possession) and dppp (defensive points per possession). Turnovers kill ppp in a way that you can't make up for with assists in subsequent positions.

I also don't know of any teams that maintain a 2/1 ATO. That seems impossible let alone a threshold. Usually the very best teams can get as high as 1.6/1.
Yeah your right a good team is in the 1.8 to 1.6 range. I was thinking for an individual and brain cramped. thanks

Just sharing because I thought it was interesting and thought you might as well. For the 20-21 season there were only 55 wcbb players playing over 600 minutes that maintained 2:1 AST/TO for the season. I honestly thought there would be fewer. On our team the best was Horston at 1.5, next was Davis at 1.1.

Here are the top assist leaders from last season. Would be nice if one popped into the portal.

2:1 ATO is an unreasonable standard for an individual player, unless they are the PG or a lead guard. All of the players in that top 25 list are guards, except for Chloe Bibby.
