How many Vol fans wear a mask in public?

If I'm asked to by a business, school, etc or we are visiting a relative who may be at higher risk then I will put on a mask. Other than that I see no reason and won't subject my children to wearing one unnecessarily either. We have now completed their first semester as well as a full baseball and football season without incident

There is a lot of political silencing of credible doctors who have touted some medicines like Redisever(sp?) and doctors regarding the use of masks. I do not trust the media or the official stance any more and that is the saddest part of it. I still wear paper masks as a precaution but I have doubts now about their effectiveness. I don’t understand why the spikes are occurring now when everyone in SW Virginia is practicing social distancing and wearing masks for the most part. I even heard a doctor last night in cable news state that even if vaccinated you still have to wear a mask for months or years. That sounds more like an attempt at state control of behaviors to me.

Edit: Now there are reports that you need to stop wearing the N90 masks. Does anyone have information why that is being reported?
What are your media sources that are claiming that doctors are being politically silenced? Sounds like your media sources are making this political. That isn't good for getting to the truth and facts.

Also, when "MOST" people are wearing masks, that leaves those not wearing masks to spread Covid. It just slows down the country's ability to get this under control.

Remdesivir is only used for people who are hospitalized with Covid. This does not help prevent the spread of Covid

Someone had a change of heart
Maybe. I have a little doubt. My opinions can change if I see enough evidence to the contrary.

I used to believe in JFK conspiracies. I have now seen solid evidence against those conspiracies and realize they were all hogwash and just money making opportunities aimed at the gullible including yours truly at one time in my life.

That's how I do. Wearing one for a long time bugs my breathing though.

Why should I wear my seatbelt?
I don't care if you wear one or not. The govt bureaucrats forced that on us... just like these masks and motorcycle helmets.
Why should I wear clothes in public? Those both encroach upon personal freedom.
I can't "un-see" you naked or do anything within my power to prevent from me or my dependents from seeing you naked. But if I am wanting to protect myself or my kids from corona, there are things i can do to protect myself if that is a concern.

Big difference between coronamasks and public nudity.

What about seat belts? no shoes, no shirt, no service? Things change throughout time and this is no different. It’s not the end of the world

This really isn't political, it's about saving lives. Of a quick count of doctors and nurses that I know well I came up with eleven, not one of them would tell you it's ok to not wear a mask. Laurie (an ER nurse) when asked about wearing a mask said "It's just stupid not to wear a mask".

Do you see anyone in a Covid medical facility not wearing a mask? That's not political that's taking care of people the safest way possible

most disturbing thing i have seen is a physician who only wore a shield and was frequent visitor to long-term health care facillity..
usually face-time for doctor appointments, but have encountered employees who don;t.
usually they are behind walled shields

I don’t care what you can and can’t “un-see” its not effecting me at all. Look away if it bothers you. If wearing a mask is truly about personal freedom, then the same applies to clothes as well.

Nothing like reading sports illustrated when you use the porta potty in July.
I was building a house about 15 years ago, and had a carpenter that did that daily.

Sorry about the stroke. Two heart attacks here. I don't wear in yard or when walking, but I try not to get close to others.

I don't when I'm running outside. Everywhere else though, sure.

I wear one when I teach or if I go anywhere. If I'm around the house, inside or out, I don't.

I've had Covid, mine was not bad, and I'm thankful. My heart goes out to those who weren't as fortunate, or who lost someone close to them. I do think it affected my immune system because days after my quarantine ended, I developed strep throat. And the first two days of strep were worse than any day I had Covid.

I have never flown on an airplane in my life and I am an old man. I haven't even been in an airport since 1992.
My dad was in the Army Air Forces in WW2. I asked him a few times if he would ever fly again. He always told me he used to pray if God would get him through the war, he would never get on a plane again...and he never did.

I will never fly for any reason. I am not going to take that chance. I take enough chances when I drive my pickup truck down the interstate. I don't have a reason to fly anywhere because I rarely travel more than 100 miles from home.

Been around Knoxville for the past few days and it appears the number is very low even when a business asks for it.
