Same here Yankee I'm in section Y but it depends on who they hire. If its another Dooley type hire then they can shove it. It better not be Golden, If its him then I think I will just give up on Tn football

The hire is important. However, I won't judge them before they coach a game here. As long as it's not Dooley I'm happy

Based on what I see today the administration is OK with this school being represented as a complete LOSER. Would you support the administration that continues to allow this to happen when THEY have the power to change it? Top public university? Yeah, right.

What have you seen today?

Exactly. Dooming the next coach before he coaches a game is the type of thing we don't need around pur program right now. No coach we will go after is a lock for winning. None of them.

So don't support the next guy and turn into Colorado?

Brilliant.

I'll be renewing ours and don't give a damn what anyone says about it... we love our VOLS and support them through thick and thin... and right now that ice is so thin you can see the bottom...

GO VOLS.
GO BIG ORANGE ...

Yeah, I seriously can't take another 3 years of this s@#$. If we don't hire anyone good, I'm done.

The blind support by buying season tickets does nothing more than encourage Cheek. That is why I said that the tickets I sit in will be used as a vote. My cousin and I will most likely go to the games and purchase the tickets individually. No donation though. If no season tickets were sold, there would still be butts in seats, just no donations. It's the donation that is the vote, not the ticket purchase IMO.

If you have the money to throw around, I completely understand. However, a lot of people sacrifice a lot so that they can afford to buy season tickets for their family.

Not everyone is a Haslem or Thunder, and in these lean economic times, what's the point of sacrificing when the program isn't willing to appreciate your support?

This hire is very important and they have to get it right. They can't hire a Dooley 2.0. It has to be a big name just for the program to have a fighting chance.

When you don't renew your season tickets, remember your donating points suffer and back down the chain you go.. It's taken us almost 9yrs to be able to park on campus and I refuse to cut off my nose spite my face.. I'm very proud to be a VOL rep and talk to people about becoming donors.. times are full of gloom and doom but it will get better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I SAY IT'S GREAT TO BE A TENNESSEE VOL...

GO VOLS..
GO BIG ORANGE ..

Had tickets since late 60's the new hire won't change that

I agree. Same here (but 70's). I'm an alum and a VOL. We don't view our donation and ticket purchases as "entertainment $$". For us it is like attending your kids' sporting events, school plays, etc. You go because they are family and you love and support 'em.

However, I was contacted by the Development Office a couple of weeks ago, asking me if I wanted to go ahead and start the paperwork for my donation next year. I told them ... I wanted to wait and see how Hart handled the "Football situation" and how the BoT handled the organizational structure between the UTAD and UT Admin. I also told them I was not pleased with Dr. Cheek's performance.

But, despite my posturing, I will continue to support the student-athletes of my Alma Mater.
