We score all our points on defensive TDs and kick returns.

Agree. We will actually rest our entire offense the entire game and play our defensive starters on both sides of the ball for conditioning purposes so that they are fully equipped to play Arkansas St. next week. Defense wins games.

I have no idea how many yards he will have. If it rains I expect TN to run a lot so he will have more opportunities. I do expect him to break at least one long run <45 yds. Lane will get the bulk of the work and have over 100 for the night. USU has its front seven back and they played pretty well as a unit last year. I do not expect us to bowl them over with our "new" OL.

I don't see Hurd having many yards this game. He willl have a decent game but it won't be til probably the Georgia game that his full pptential is seen.

Hurd is special but he's also a true freshman and though I do not think USU front seven "shut down" our run game completely, I do think they will at least "appear to be solid against the run" and that's to me a 50/50 of them having good run D and us having a "new" Oline and Hurd being a true freshman playing in his first game, and behind a senior. I think Butch will stick to the run and pound then into oblivion so I think Lane will have about 30 carries and Hurd will have another 12-15.

13 carries for 62 yards (just under 5 yards a carry) and a short TD run.

Lane will have 31 carries for 98 yards and a TD. With 3 catches for 16 yards.

SEC, possible wet field, new offensive line and some stud running backs....I predict a 35/20 run to pass ratio. I'm almost willing to guarantee both backs go over 100 yards! Easy!!!! Go Vols!
