As long as Bama gets to be the 1-loss team facing these weak opponents in the NC game they will keep winning. Any doubt that Oregon could not have done the same to ND ?

Alabama can be beat!!! Kevin Sumlin and Texas A&M proved that. What does Tn. have to do to get there? First, they will have to start winning the games they're supposed to win and pull off an upset or two. With that will come more interest from recruits which will put the Vols on more even terms with Bama, Fla, Georgia, and other SEC elite teams. Whether we admit it or not, star ratings do mean something. Look at the recruiting rankings now and you will see those SEC teams mentioned with 2,3.or 4 ***** players and 10-15 **** players. Not all will pan out as great but many will. The coaching staff has their work cut out for them but I believe they will get it done. It will take two-three years to get there so, be patient.

When they get caught with some major violations, that would be a good start. Someone go get Phil and take him to Tuscaloosa to start some dirt diggin'. ;)

My best guess would be 3 years at least, they got it going on, nick is not going no where, the sad thing is i think he just at the start instead of the end.

UT will have to get serious about hiring a big time football coach it they ever want to really compete with Alabama....this past coaching search was a cluster F*** and exposed the administration for what it is.........?
Butch Jones may indeed have some success in the SEC but I don't forsee an SEC championship anytime in the near future......I'll go out on a limb and say we can compete for the SEC by the end of the decade.. hopefully

It'll be at least two. I'll wait on Jones' first couple of recruiting classes to shore up before I make any predictions beyond that.
