You should take a step back from life if you're happy that a young man lost literally millions of dollars. You must have a terrible life

Heard his stepfather (the man he pounded for beating his mother)posted that from old video. Sounds like his stepfather may be in line for another beating. IF TRUE

Lighten up on the OP guys. Tunsil paid a stupid tax....a steep, but deserved stupid tax. If you're going to be stupid, especially as a high profile athlete, don't film it.

While I am DECIDELY not an Ole Miss fan and recognize there are consequences for people's actions, I do not carry any negativity toward other schools' players once they are no longer Vol opponents. I do feel very empathetic for this young man. I hope that Butch Jones holds some sort of new player orientation class on Day One that points out these kinds of things as well as all the other things that has happened to the Vol program recently. And I hope he repeats it frequently to make sure everyone hears the message like he does with all his other mantras, like 63 and the rest. What happened to Laremy Tunsil is exactly like young people posting information on Facebook only to much later learning their potential employer used it as a reason not to hire them. However, for these guys, we are talking about consequences in terms of millions of dollars.

Jesus Christ guys, the video of him getting high was from either senior year of high school or frosh year. This is all happening because he got into a fight with a man who was BEATING UP HIS MOM. Imagine if someone you've known for years and has dirt on you decides to start beating up your mom or your sister. Then he says "if you get in my business I'll ruin your life". What would you do?

Glad to see Tunsil get skewered for $13mm.

Besides Rodgers, Pig too?

Bitter, but I get it. All these guys are way over compensated for playing a kids game for a living. It's reasonable to expect a bit of resentment from fans, and a small amount of satisfaction when self inflicted problems put a dent in that exorbitant paycheck.

That's his side of the story. The other version is that the fight was about him having contact with agents.

Glad to see it?

These are 18-22 year old guys, we all did dumb things when we were young

Although I'm not in the business of wishing ill on people I'm tired of the logic "that because everyone has done it" there should be more sympathy.

1) No we haven't all done that.

2) Because many people have done dumb things doesn't make dumb actions correct. And it certainly shouldn't reduce the penalty for the dumb action.

I'm glad he has to learn from his actions.

Rogers and Pig would have easily been top 5 NFL picks without the baggage. Probably cost themselves trillions. All the experts were gushing about how Pig could literally be the goat in the slot/jet sweep position. What a shame.

The market determines their value.

I can at least entertain the opinion that Rodgers could have been a top 5 pick, but Pig?

I agree.

But, to be realistic, the money is not "lost". It just got redistributed to the players who went before him. Look at it as a puffers donation to other 20yr olds. :-D

Delete all my dirt or change my passwords and then whip him.

It was sarcasm. I love Alton and really wish he would have been part of the 2015 team but he didn't cost himself anything unless he actually had to pay for the weed he was smoking which I "highly" doubt.
