First, a disclaimer of sorts. Two, actually. OK, four disclaimers. One, So glad we whipped LSU by a far larger margin than I anticipated. Just the same, our secondary remains a weak link, so if our front DL can't get after the Bama QB, we will lose the game.
Two, I noticed that Bama, like Fla, gets way with a lot of holding on WRs. Unless our WRs speed allows them to get consistent OPEN separation from the arm and jersey holding jerks, we lose the game.
Three, as you know, we have to play two games at once when it comes to Bama. The Crimson Algae bloom team and the bipedal zebras team. Without OPEN separation, we lose the game.
Four, Bama's defense isn't a joke, but I dare say if our OL continues to play as they have so far, keeping the Captain's uniform clean, we have a Buster Douglas vs. Mike Tyson chance.
Wrecks my heart to say it, but I think despite the energy the Neyland atmosphere gives our boys, I see a 41 - 31 Bama win. That mostly because going into the 4th quarter, we hold a 21 - 21 tie, but then Bama's depth exerts itself, and our guys are run down by then. They go down slinging, but the secondary just isn't up for the job. Damn that crack crystal ball!!!!!!!!!!!!
