We have a fundamentally different view of the world and the job. The U.S. is not just another country. We have procured for ourselves, for better or worse, some serious obligations to act out of more than our own immediate self-interest at every turn.
That does not mean giving away our sovereignty or acting against our interests. But it does mean that we have to take a broader view of things, and the effects of our decisions, than simply "what's best for 'merica."
George Bush has been the antithesis of that. Even Ronald Reagan, who took some fairly bold action here and there, had the sense to view the world as a lot more than simply us against them.

Well duh, that's because Obama is a radical Muslim. Everybody knows that.
