How do you all think our guys basketball will finish up?

They are 9-11 now and 1-4 in the SEC...

They have to go 6-4 over the next 10 games to be .500 and for any shot at postseason play. (NIT?)

I have them ending up either 13-17 or 14-16 what do ya'll think?

well first of all they play 31 games not 30 so you may want to fix your prediction...


i say 16-15 and make the nit

With SC beating Bama at home, I'm no longer confident that we can beat SC on the road.
I don't have a clue.

No one better be counting the Auburn and USCjr games as wins just yet. Auburn gave Ark all they wanted on the road and USCjr upset Bama at home tonight.

Take em one game at a time and hope to get better every game. If this team makes postseason play then it's a bonus, but it's not going to be the end of the world if they don't. They're getting almost everyone back except Tatum and Swiper and that's probably addition by subtraction.

It could be very hard to win two games in the tourney this year the way it is set up.
If you win on Thursday you have the privilege of playing one of the top 4 teams on Friday.
Probably KY, FLA, Vandy or M State.

This is simple. They will play well at home, and pitiful on the road. Enough evidence has been collected to prove to date.

Hopefully they can find their game on the road. But it has yet to happen. The closest they came was in Hawaii on neutral ground.

Must make it to the SEC finals to get in the tourney. Hopefully we can win the ones we should and steal one from Florida, Bama, or Kentucky...I think we will beat Vandy at home. If that happens, we could get to the semifinals of the SEC and have a shot at sneaking in the tourney...one can dream.

At 9-7 we may have a chance to finish in 4th place which would give us a shot at a first round bye. Fwiw

18-13 Overall, 10-6 SEC

I think we break out of our string of losses on the road and finish strong. I truly think this team is going to keep getting better. Hopefully we pick up a few wins in the SEC tourney. Of course, that is probably just me wanting to be optimistic.

If they finish 16 - 15, then win 2 or more games in the S.E.C., we will have 18 wins and will be a bubble team. With wins against Florida and UConn, we might get in.

15-16. we won't win a road game. s carolina beat alabama in columbia last night. i thought we could steal one there, but----. no way we win at lsu. i think we win out at home. sorry, but no post season unless we upset 2 teams in the sec tourney. this would make us 17-17 with another loss in the tourney. i don't think you can go to the nit with a .500 record. next year, watch out !!!

It's possible I suppose. At this point im very happy with a NIT appearance, NCAA tourney and that'd be unreal.

south carolina is a very skinny team.stokes and maymon should both have field days vs their bigs so maybe we can get a w there.
