Lol, my fault. I remember reading that earlier in the thread. It's late and I've been listening to the wife griping at me.

so you'll finish outside the top ten and in the dog house...like the Vols chances better...:)

GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know, right now, we're inside the top 5, but Bama, USA and others haven't filled out their classes. Come Feb. How do yall think we'll finish

Yay, I love fairs, especially fair ladies and fairs with a bunch of fried stuff. I don't like fares, especially airfare. I appreciate Terry Fair as well.

All joking aside, the way this class will FARE will be dependent on the 17 season. Assuming that the bottom doesn't fall out, I'd suspect 8-10.

I have thought for some time that the parity in the top high school skill combined with the limitations of skill evaluation means that the difference in talent among the top 10 recruiting classes is almost negligible. The top 3 or so may be slightly better than 7,8 or 9, but I believe that difference is not great enough to produce a significant on the field advantage in talent. Of course you want to get as good of a class as possible every year, but if your depth chart is exclusively made of top 10 recruiting class talent you should be able to match up with most any program out there.

i think the biggest difference in this class vs some others we've gotten that were highly rated, is that this class is so centered around the line of scrimmage. and that's the type of top 10 classes that start to separate themselves from the pack.

it's a top 10 class when all is said and done, and depending on how we do the rest of the way at LB, WR, CB, could stay in the top 7.

plus you got two qb's in this class so that's not a worry, and you've done well on the LOS, so now you have some flexibility in adding depth, and really going after some more difference makers.

i like where we are right now, and barring some epic disaster, this may wind up being the best class he's signed, regardless of what # winds up next to it in the rankings.

this is an inside out league, and this class so far is built that way.

I was thinking about top 10 and the schools who will automatically be in by signing day . Alabama, LSU, FSU, USC, Ohio state, and Miami . That's already 6 right there , I think we sneak in top 10 at the end of the day .

You nailed it. Problem for Tennessee is, two or three of those teams that they play regular are also always in the top 5 or at least top 10. SEC is brutal in so many ways.

A good season and we finish between 5-7th. 2nd best in the SEC. GBO!!!!

How many will be in this class and how many in the top 300 have TN in the lead right now? Sure, a couple can be swayed but most kids are now trending to the school of their choice. July/August is normally heavy commit months.

Been married 20 years - if you're smart just tell her you're sorry and that she's the best thing to ever happen to you

I second this.... Been married 26yrs myself. Learned a long time ago to just say yes ma'am and save yourself the trouble :)

It's so hard to say...the scoring systems for each site shows such variation from year to year...

Last years 17th placed finish on 247 would have been 21st on the same site the year before...last years 15th placed finish on Rivals would have been 19th the year before...that's why I don't sweat too much the difference between being 10th vs 15th...

With that being said...barring an epic collapse on the field and Butch getting fired...I believe we fall somewhere between 9-12 on the average of the 4 major sites
