From poster Volquest:

team ready for Vandy? tuff emotionally. not much spunk monday. good attitude yesterday. business like approach. team has resolve and leadership and enjoy competeing. you will see them compete saturday and show up.

players comments on Dooley: relationship and bond on this team is the best it's been. CDD is closer to this team than any team he has had. vested in the season. not going to give up. have not mailed it in.

Mizzou 2nd half: opportunity presents itself to win game they do not do it. cant put teams away or stretch leads. dont get not trying to win at end. did not run the ball in OT. team does not take advantage of opportunities.

Volquest reporting Sunday about CDD future? wrote on sunday a road map of what will come moving forward. matter of time of when it will happen and not if it will happen. thinks CDD was truthful in what Hart has told him. Fulmer dissmissal was too early which destroyed the rest of season.

Break:

Dave Hart was going to keep Dooley if got to 7 wins? Hart was going to fight to keep him if he had run the table. was not a given but 7 and 5 would of been interesting.

Harts list? a guess? dont know. see some common names. Jimbo Fisher is one. Dave Hart knows him. Jimbo has concerns at FSU. its not his AD or Pres. Cutcliffes name would be there as well. see a core of 4 to 5 guys on everybodys list.

Sal's D meetings: trying to pen there hopes on the way they played in 1st half last week. played well 3.5 qrts. cant play cover 3 every play. got to mix it up. if you get a 4th and 13 play last week we are talking about how they improved. Conklin has a very heavy infuence in whats going on

TN O against Vandy: Vandy sack numbers have gone up so must protect Tyler. Vandy Has not forced many TO's. TN must find something that works and stick with it.

Rivalry? credit to Franklin. They make plays when the opportunity presents itself. they will give up yards. did against Mizzou and Ole Miss. they feel like they should beat TN

That's all folks!

They played well the first half. Once the third qtr started they got gutted with a huge run play. Our def wasn't strong in any of the 2nd half.

If you've got nothing to say about Gruden, then don't say anything at all

Incoming and outgoing coaches together in April. Is that Gruden enough for you?

I disagree. Yes, the Wyoming game was messy, but Fulmer regrouped and won his last two games - against Vandy and UK. Took the ball out of Crompton's hands and ran almost every play. Won fairly handily.

Everyone talks about the improvement of the offense this year - well with CP joining the team, sophomores growing into juniors, CJG coaching the RBs, etc - of course there is going to be improvement. But what gets me is what was mentioned, the inability to stretch a lead or pull off the win in the 4th quarter.
This is a direct result of play calling by CJC and after watching his offense for the past 4 years, I'm done. Much like people were done with 3rd and Chavis. When Dooley goes, Chaney better go as well, 'cause I for one refuse to watch his drive-killing play calls in the second half next year...

He really said Cutcliffe is a name that keeps popping up? I like Cutt, but he would be about 15th-20th on my list. Is this a smokescreen?

It' only been Chaney's offense for 3 years. Kiffin didn't let him call plays.

Jimbo Fisher is on Harts list? I find it hard to believer he would leave FSU. That sounds crazy. Why would he leave FSU? could some one shed light on this.

The mention of Cutcliffe as a possibility is what scares the H3LL out of me about a coaching change. I have no confidence in JC or DH to get it right! As far as Gruden; I think the folks screaming for Gruden can spit in one hand and wish in the other and could fill Hoover dam with spit.

I heard on the radio about a week and a half ago that he isn't happy there. SOmething along the lines of disagreements between the President of the university and the AD. No real other details that i heard of, but it isn't the first time I've heard this.

normal collapse at the end of the game. maybe we will have enough points this week. We are scoring enough to win a ton of games

Fisher would be the catch of the day if we could snag him; that is, considering what he has done at FSU.

Cutcliff and Fisher are both smoke screens. They may be bargaining for a raise in their current positions but neither are candidates for UT.

Cutcliffe would be no better than Dooley. I mean, damn...what in the hell has he done to commend himself to a job of this magnitude? He wanted the dead-end jobs at Ole Miss and Duke....let him stay there. They've been mediocre at best. He had a soft schedule for much of the first half, and now that Duke has had to play some real teams, they are back to getting pounded again.

That's what we want here? I'd rather Dooley stay and hope that he fixes the defense (fires Sal and hires Randy Shannon....FOR REAL this time), if that's the best we can do. This AD and Chancellor are scaring the dickens out of me. Seems like they are just accepting mediocrity as the norm, for now and the foreseeable future.

Cutcliffe wouldnt be in my top 5 but I would be wiling to bet he would be better than dooley. He took a team that one maybe once a year.. To now a bowl eligible team.Look at fulmer record with and without cutcliffe. Not saying I want cut to be our next coach but we could do worse.
