Will this quiet the fools who complain about being out recruited by UK and Ole Miss?
Posted via VolNation Mobile

As things stand right now UK still has a better "current" class than Tennessee. That should and probably will change.

To me UK and Ole Miss should always be irrelevant to Tennessee.

They should be focused on out-recruiting or recruiting on the same level as the Top 5 programs in the conference, not those in the bottom 5.

I completely agree. It is also July, in which, rankings mean absolutely nothing other than giving fans something to talk about. If we get to the point of December and January and are still behind them in rankings, then the masses may start freaking out. For everyone to panic now is like a father to be panicing about labor 3 months into the pregnancy.

Great analogy :clapping:

I say it should be widespread panic:

Anyone know who it may be, he mentioned it on 104.5 The Zone in Nashville this morning.

How in the world does anyone know or find out what a kid is thinking and what he might do or say espically if he has not spoken with that kid or his family. If it was me nobody would no but my parents. dooley wouldnt even know unless i actually picked up the phone and called him myself. These reporters are so stupid when it comes to this. plus when nothing happens 99.9% of the people on here that actually follow the recruiting get all pissy and upset when nothing happens. These reporters are too funny. Ok heres one for ya. I believe that we might get a comitment on Aug 9th from a kid in Alabama. LMAO Let the specualtion begin on who it might be.

Yeah Kerbyson, Richardson and Clear are the 3 "must gets" in this class IMO.

I agree. I am beginning to add A.J. Johnson to this list.

no way UK has a better current class. They have 1 4star and his only offer is from UK. That tells me all I need to know about him. He is a 3star on the other 2 sites too. They have 15 commits and 8 of them are unrated. No way they have a better class imo.

And Ole Miss has 5 4stars but their class is not that impressive imo. one of them's only other offer is from S. Miss and they have 2 4stars (Hutson, Holliman) that the Vols passed on. But they do have some really solid guys committed too though.

And we are not gonna be able to recruit with the top 5 this year. It just ain't gonna happen. Too much going against us. 3 coaches in 3 years, lack of high rated in-state talent, we are viewed as a thug school, and we are gonna be mediocre at best on the field. If we can finish 6-7 in the conference and in the top 15 overall, that is a major victory.

Next year is the year we will be back recruiting in the top 10 and when this staff should be judged on their recruiting ability.

Yeah only one today, was unaware the other was doing an announcement on Friday.

I got a chuckle out of that when you change the thread title but it's good to know the young man is on board with the O&W.

Agree with all of this, plus the fact that this class will be lineman-heavy and that will limit it's ranking potential somewhat.

Finally, I also agree that next year will be a better indicator because the staff will have the full year of prep time to recruit the class. Hard to start from zero in Febuary and catch everyone (who have been on these kids for a year or more) by August.

Just not realistic to act as if the late start isn't a big factor this year. Still think we'll close very well and have a fine class.

I'd be eccstatic with a Top 15 overall recruiting class. Not sure how realistic that really is.
