A basketball player getting all that attention on gameday. That's huge. Even if 3 or 4k show up at Tba that wouldn't compare in a recruits mind IMO.

Also I see in no way many students coming into Tba in the middle of drinking prep time.

Yeah, I could see how Tobias Harris making the pick on national television and being on campus could be good for recruiting. Seeing a player who went pro after his freshman season and the recruits visiting might bump into him. He can tell them a bit about his time at Tennessee. He obviously loved it here if he's coming back for the game after playing here for just one season. That wouldn't be violation, or is it?

"all the attention on gameday" maybe I'm mistaken but I thought the guest picker was a pretty brief segment?

And seeing as how our recruits on visits probably won't be watching it on tv, it won't have as much of an effect IMO.

You're probably right though about the students, that's why I say it's almost like a movement. Very unlikely, but if you get a few of the students to start coming then many follow.

Either way, let's hope it's Tobias...him on gameday is just an added bonus and attention for this huge basketball recruiting weekend.

You make a good point, he was key in jarnells recruitment....I'm sure he would make it a point to visit with these guys.

And no I dont think it'd be a violation, but the NCAA book is 100x the size of the good book, so I can't say for certain.

If he is on the set of gameday even if it's only a short time you can bet the basketball recruits will be there watching. I doubt he is the picker but it would be huge if it indeed happens.

I have a pretty good faith in CM that he is going to get this recruiting class done with flying colors without all these added bells and whistles. I wouldn't sweat less than you are expecting at Tba or harris not being on game day. The sweat equity has been paid by the staff.

Every little bit helps. The open practice or gameday may be what pushes hubbs to committ rather than wait.

Also, lots of 2015&2016 guys will be here, nice to make that huge impression and set the tone early.

JWIII Spotting! I was eating in the UC around 2:30. Coach Martin and JWIII(his Family too) came in! Martin was really working his Dad. JWIII looked pleased, GBO!
Also, JWIII is TALL and looks the part of a highcaliber player!

I saw CCM posted he was headed there, pretty smart. He realizes everyone knows he has the recruits with him, so without saying their names...he is saying come out and show these recruits love...

Was hubbs not with him though, that'd be weird.

Fwiw hubbs tweeted earlier...in this college class with j3...don't know how well they know each other but hopefully they hit it off.

This would explain why hubbs may not have been at the UC...

He's apparently hit it off with a couple of UT's finest haha...got him some new lady friends!

He's all ours haha!

Maybe in reading too much into this, but yesterday CCM tweeted...

I'm thinking he means that he has J3 and Hubbs already Vols before they even got to Knoxville?

I think he's referring to practices and workouts....prepare correctly for games and you've already won half the battle.

Like your theory though.
