Jim Carrey was on the Norm MacDonald podcast and a great Playboy mansion story came up....
When Jim Carrey was filming Man on the Moon, Hef called him up and asked him to make an appearance at a fancy party he was throwing. Jim Carrey said, "I'm a method actor, so only if I can show up as Andy Kaufman."
He sent Bob Zmuda (Andy's writing partner) dressed as Tony Clifton to the party. Everybody thought it was Jim Carrey and they were getting their pictures taken with him and he was making a scene in certain ways that you would only let Jim Carrey get away with.
Then Jim Carrey showed up.
He said Hef's face completely drained of color. All these fancy people had thought security had been compromised and it was embarrassing for Hef. Jim Carrey didn't let on that it was his prank.
