Squirrel, a family member has just been diagnosed with stage IV lung CA (NSCLC), mets to bone (spine) and brain. A brand new diagnosis out of nowhere. We are just numb. She was - is - the health nut among us. But she had a home office in their basement in a super-high radon area, so maybe that was part of it...Thanks youse guys. Sitting in the chair waiting for them to crank up the infusion. It doesn’t screw you up the way chemo does. Gotta keep on rockin!

She’s now doing chemo + immunotherapy, after radiation to the brain mets. I hope it’s ok to ask - are you on Keytruda (pembrolizumab)? Completely understand if you want to keep that private, of course. But I’ve been reading up on immunotherapy’s successes, which are just amazing (Keytruda and others.)
Your posts are giving us hope. That’s a very selfish reason to tell you again how much I’m rooting for you.
More prayers for you than ever.
Yes, I’m on Keytruda immunotherapy regimen. I was initially told I would be getting chemo along with immunotherapy like you mentioned but just before getting started I was told I didn’t need the chemo due to biopsy test results that showed my lesions were high enough in a protein, if I remember correctly. My lesions have been shrinking per CT scan but it has only metastasized to the other lung. I will be praying for the therapy to kill the cancer cells in your family member. I also have NSCLC (non small cell lung cancer).Squirrel, a family member has just been diagnosed with stage IV lung CA (NSCLC), mets to bone (spine) and brain. A brand new diagnosis out of nowhere. Well, in that scenario I would buy them dinner. Of course in my current situation I am always available for interaction with my friends.Hman, what would happen if someone drove out your way and wanted to meet for dinner or something sometime?
