Welp, my tumor is growing again and Dr O said he thinks the immunotherapy is failing. There is a new treatment, a clinical trial just weeks old he said we can try but a prerequisite is I have to have at least two rounds of chemo with immunotherapy combined before I am allowed to get the program. The treatment consists of surgically removing a chunk of the tumor, sending it to a lab where they isolate the leukocytes and supercharge them to kill cancer cells and then put them back in me. Of course Dr O said the two rounds of chemo/immunotherapy will have to show no effect on the tumor for me to be allowed to try the new treatment. If improvement is shown then they will continue the chemo/ immunotherapy for at least 6 rounds. 😢 Guess I’m going to be sick and bald again.

I’m so sorry. Are you going to try the two rounds and see what happens? I don’t know how anyone can think their way through something like this. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

You got this Squirrely. Toughest m-fer I know. Even compared to my Special Forces friends. Well, Tiffany gives you a run for your money, but you get my drift. How frequent will the chemo and immunotherapy treatments be? How long after the treatments do they go back in to see how the tumor is reacting?

I think he said the treatments will be either a week or two apart and then a couple of weeks and do a CT scan to see what effect it’s having on the tumor.
