Humbly requesting help

No, there’s another guy, a firefighter up in Frazier or sumpin. It’s his tag or whatever it’s called. Maybe “VN’s hose toter.” Something like that.

Thanks for adding TFG. I really did mean to add him. Really!
Hose toter lives in Cordova but his firehouse is in Frayser. He brought me some crappie he caught a couple of months ago. Tasty!

In the '70s, has a crush on EmmyLou Harris and Bonnie Raitt. That they hung with Lowell George and Little Feat just made me crush on them all the more.

I saw Little Feat perform at Richards Rock Club in '73 by being a roadie for a local band that opened for the three-act bill that was headlined by Bonnie Bramblett. She was very drunk when she went on. Sad to witness.

Jesse Winchester opened for Elton John at Stokely in 1974. That was a show!

Stax before Motown :p
And James Brown is the progenitor of funk.

Stax>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Motown

Arguably, Holland-Dozier-Holland penned the songs that crossed R&B into the pop charts during the '60s. Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight - all got their lift to stardom at Motown. I do not disrespect Motown. But Stax was based in Memphis, and throughout the '60s, it was a haven, a refuge where all artist were equal. Race did not matter when you walked through those doors. Otis Redding, Sam & Dave, The Staples Singers, Johnny Taylor... The sound was grittier, real, not the fantasy fluff of Motown.
