Humbly requesting help

H, I saw this and of course I thought of you. :)

Also, have you explored provision proton therapy in Knox? I’m obviously not a doc but it’s a treatment most traditional doctors don’t recommend because most insurance companies won’t pay for it. However, I’ve heard the company is very willing to work with people and won’t turn anyone away based on their insurance company's (or their own) ability to pay provided the therapy would prove beneficial.

I live in Memphis and am currently taking immunotherapy treatments. My cancer is recurrent and has metastasized from when it was originally discovered being only in my right upper lobe of my lung. The lesions are shrinking and one has become unable to be detected by CT scan. Thanks for your concern, I appreciate it.

H! It's good to see you. Still here, thinking of you. Many good thoughts my brother!

Good luck.

Doctor told me yesterday he thinks I have diabetes because of blood tests. I told him no I don’t and then he said it could be because of the pancreatitis. Ain’t that some crap. How do you get diabetes when you’re almost seventy?

Frack, H... Dadgummit. So, doc wants more tests, amIright?

He gave me some pills to take and said we’ll check it in three months to see if glucose and A1C drops.

Sympathies, hman. With all that you are going through, maybe a few (more?) pills won't matter.

I pushed back on the "take a pill" solutioning of my doctors. I take one atorvastatin pill a day. That's it. If a doc wants me on another pill for a defined short term, OK. However, if one tries to prescribe another maintenance med, I press for alternatives to try, first. So far, I've avoided adding another daily medication (Thank you, Lord).

blood sugar goes up when your body is fighting an infection ( can even be just a cold) so you are likely right about the pancreatitis causing it to go up
