Humbly requesting help

Results came back clean. No signs of spread. Felt like the weight of the world was lifted off my shoulders. Thank you for your prayers.

Mom still has to see a radiologist to make sure they don't think she needs radiation treatment, but the surgeon doesn't believe it will be necessary.

So relieved.
What a blessing Weezer! Prayers for continued positive progress.

YAY, my Dad gets his first covid shot tomorrow and I am so glad because I have been so worried
about him being out in public with all the covid going around
Yay! Ours went great - just sore arms for a couple of days, as if your dopey teenaged cousin had punched you. We have appointments for our second, and we’re clearing our calendars for a few days afterward as we’ve heard people get a bit puny.

I think that's a good idea. I had that initial reaction about 45 minutes in but no other issues. A couple of my colleagues who had tested positive had symptoms that were worse than the ones they had with Covid.

I am going to take at least tomorrow off, I think, and take my mom and dad to get their second Moderna shot. They are giving those without appointments at the civic auditorium, and they're not taking appointments, even for the elderly. They got the first shot at the health department, but they stayed in their cars for that one. On this one, they have to go in, and I'm not sure how that's going to work if they have to stand in line for an extended time. I'm going to take an extra wheelchair, and mom will have her walker, which has the seat. They won't have to drive home if I take them. At 84 and 85, I am just concerned about how they will handle the second dose.

Thoughts and prayers for everyone in getting through this Covid and other illnesses.

Gotta love it - my county did it in reverse: initial shot indoors (local community college large auditorium, all the p/w done at that point), and the second will be a drive-through at a local high school, any time between 12:30-4:30 (or 8-12), have your vaccination card ready.

When my daughter had her second shot, she had no problem at the time, but the next day had the classic viral syndrome (headache, muscle aches, fatigue; no fever etc) and stayed home. Same happened for her two MD partners.

An employee at my mom’s ALF said that the younger employees had a harder time than the elderly residents. Maybe this is because most of us Of A Certain Age always have headaches, muscle aches, and fatigue all the time anyway, so we didn’t notice. 🤪
