Huntley-Hatfield needs more minutes

To the bolded, who do you like more their chances of hitting a shot inside of 10’, Fulky/BHH/ON/Plavsic? I would say Plavsic would rank last imo if it’s the same scenario, I also don’t think anyone feels Plavsic is all that imposing, opposing players sure don’t seem to think so since they go right at him.

And yea, if it’s a post up I’m definitely going Fulk over Plavsic…I trust him to make the right play, whether that’s take the shot or make a pass.

He has grown just like ON, and I expect that he will continue to grow, if he is included in the game plan. As I said, I know he gets taken advantage of when on defense, but I now think he is using his size to return the favor, on offense.

I just think some people have trouble forgetting how bad he was in the beginning, and not acknowledging his improvement (Not picking on any one person.)

Looking at his stats, he is 7/11 in shooting, in 41 minutes of play. Based off that limited amount of data, I would say, get him the ball more, but cut his minutes a bit. I agree that BHH needs more minutes, and he needs less. I just don't agree that he should stay on the bench.

So he’s scored 14pts in 41mins, I don’t have the number but I’m guessing he’s gave up more than that…and if we are being honest at least 6-8 of those points are gift wrapped from Chandler driving and creating for him, not a post move from Plav. And I’m saying all this as probably one of the biggest Plavsic supporters over his career here, I just don’t see a nightly role for him that benefits this team, occasional game sure, but not part of 9 man rotation.

Plavs looked OK yesterday, but Chandler had something to do with that, as mentioned by others. As BHH gets more up to speed I suspect Plav's minutes will get less and less. It's good to have him to occasionally spell someone who needs a minute or two breather, though.

The dilemma Barnes is facing is that he knows he needs HH to come on strong for this team to reach full potential, but he also knows he can't just give him minutes. HH has to earn it. He's got to do what Barnes needs him to do the way he wants him to do it. The team will know who deserves minutes and who should sit. He's an important player, but he's still just one player. You don't risk team morale and chemistry for one guy no matter what.

Do we know that HH isn't earning minutes in practice?

With the way ZZ played yesterday, Barnes has a dilemma in how to play ZZ and JJJ.

He will have the luxury now of playing more small ball and slowly allow BHH (and JJJ) to develop rather than to rush it.

Well, I'm not going to agree with you so much on based on what you said, but from the Aidoo thread. If Aidoo steps up in practice, then I could see him taking a bunch of minutes away. This, along with more for BHH would leave very little for Plavsic.

I don't think either of us considered him in our logic. I hope Aidoo steps up. He could be a nice piece to the championship puzzle.
