Except for the spring game, the last time he suited up was Aug.25, 2014. Haven't heard from Butch about the Hurd's season ending shoulder injury. I hope JH is well grounded with all this talk flying around. The coaches need to keep him humble and hungry.

Heard over the practice loudspeaker ... "You're loafing Jalen Hurd. I hear Alabama's two FR running backs are working on special teams Jalen!" - Butch "Gets It" Jones

Not GA but I do. I think Lane will have a monster senior season.

Oh I expect lane to start and Hurd to get his fair share of carries behind him. I was just asking him if he thought Pickett would challenge Hurd for the two spot. I read where coach Gillespie said he has never seen a rb that could pass block as well as Hurd. He is going to be a very versatile weapon for us.

The "Heisman Trophy" should be retitled the "Media Popularity Trophy". That's all that it is. There are no hard and fast rules and it is meaningless outside the media circu$ that allows it to exist in it's present form.

That being said, having our guys name(s) mentioned in the midst of the corporate media hype and money making schemes may put our name / highlights in front of a parent or recruit that gets impressed by it. Somehow that publicity "straw" may help push a recruit(s) our way in the future. For that I'm thankful.
