Freak....could we take up some money for U-T and our other Lousiana members? They are going to need our help, and who better to help than their extended family? I think we could all send you some money, maybe you could set up some kind of paypal account for this or something, and then later, as U-T and others move back in, and need some cash, they would have our money.

Even if it wasn't a whole lot, it may help just to have a little cash here and there.

Beltway, if you want to start a topic they can paypal it to vol_freak@yahoo.com (although I have never recieved money with it). Assuming that they both are fine with no damage we could send it to a general relief fund or something.

This hour dropped back to a cat 4? But none the less 150-190mph winds expected and 20-28ft surges. Ive decide to sit up and watch this as it plays out. When i heard NO' could be under 30ft of water by tues.

This sucks even for us that are safe from it, Wish our members/family, and all in the path of this the very best! Lets all hope the pressure continues to climb and this thing gets as weak as possible before it hits land. :cross:

They went ahead and closed Hardin County schools tomorrow in anticipation of winds and flooding.

Lord, I hate this.

I'm scared.

It'll be ok LIO. I'm also in west Tennessee. We just have to put on our game face and get in the trenches. :shades:

The wind got rough, but other than blowing my swing in the yard over, everything is okay.

Thank the Lord.

Pictures on the news this AM from New Orleans and Mississippi were horrific. I can't imagine the feeling of uncertainty that evacuees must have right now. Certainly a "not-so-subtle" reminder of how powerless we are in the grand scheme of things.

My prayers go out to all of our displaced Big Orange Bretheren and the rest of the victims, as well.

Hey Vol Nation, if you happen to have ever known U-T's real name please send it to me in my INBOX. I want to check the missing persons list to see if he is on it, or maybe he is still in New Orleans.

My heart is breaking over the coverage of the poor people trying to get water and food that was being dropped from helicopters yesterday. The stranded people were in waist deep water, and so were the supplies.

Thanks... BayouVol
