Did we ever call George Bush, Walker? Did we ever call Bill Clinton, Jefferson? No. So why should it be any different for Barack Obama?

I heard Clinton called William Jefferson fairly often. I also remember Bush being called W by the left and the right.

Actually, the correct spelling would be "Dubya", but yes, you are correct. However, there was no foul meaning behind it, and it was a playful nickname.

That he used to his advantage during elections....I remember the orange "W" stickers handed out at Neyland by the young Republican groups four years ago....pretty good marketing idea.

let's put it this way. say bush's middle name was hitler and you kept refering to him as hitler. would that be funny? also wouldn't that be considered offensive since this is the only part of his name that you seem to call him by?

Factually speaking. The "W" became prominent during the 2004 election when his campaign started issuing t-shirts, buttons, stickers...etc, with nothing but the letter W. So it was started by the right

Back to the point, we all know why JoeVol calls him Hussein. It is the kind of thing that got him banned from another political forum where the posters are an older set and the moderator(a republican) will ban you for being an idiot

Conan O'Brien was making "Dubya" jokes every single week night long before Bush's reelection bid.
