Yes, we have been here before and it is all to familiar. Gruden is a nice dream but the longer this drags on it feels more like another Dooley disguised at a cheap price.

Look at So. Miss. He was 12-2 on the third year. Then when he left, everything went downhill for that football team. They just fired their head coach after one season. He is a good hire.

First Hyams says negotiations were dead. Then all of the sudden he says "oh yeah, there was supposed to be a meeting today".

That is why you can't trust him.

He broke a shoe lace, then the aglet came off the other one and he had to go to 3 stores to get replacements, by then the meeting was over.

Larry Fedora wouldn't be a "home run" hire or one that would generate a lot of immediate attention/donations... but I think he would end up being the best non-Gruden hire.

Honestly I'd be fine with Larry Fedora or Charlie Strong. I feel like Jimbo Fisher would be a Mark Richt type hire. We'd be okay to good and have occasional (i.e. every 5 years) good years but in the end we wouldn't reach the promised land. He'd recruit well but he'd underwhelm.

Since Hyams said it Gruden is probably watching a moving crew load up his stuff now. He will be in Knoxville Friday morning.

Hyams Reports Breaking New on Gruden & Timeline

Volnation OG's said there would be plenty of smoke so I'm not putting too much stock in Hyams since he's been saying Gruden was a pipe dream anyway. Somebody wanted to put some misdirection out is what I'm thinking.

Only asking because these bammers!! Has Gruden cancelled a meeting today? Have not heard much about the UT situation, any new news?

By the way was not sure the word cancelled websters says you can use one L or two LL's lol.

You can't trust anything that bleeds for five days and doesn't die that wants to be with something else that bleeds for five days and doesn't die.
