If there were colleges that called themselves "tradionally white college" Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton and the media would be marching in front of them every day calling them racist institutions. And if you don't think that would be the case then you are the one that is nuts

does it matter what they're called when all the students are white? Do you really need a label to figure it out?

and almost any state college could call itself "traditionally white" and be correct.

the white ones pretty much have their own conf too. Do you guys really want to go to school at Hampton U? If so I would bet you would have no problem (if your grades are good enough). If you don't want to attend then what's the issue?

haha hell no

they are traditional black colleges but they don't exclude based on race. If you don't think there are schools in this country with a 99.9% white student body (probably 100% but I like wiggle room) then you're nuts.

You know better than that.

I would hate to see them try. They would be hammered as racist

I don't understand my people...I'm new to the grio blog and yes i'm a black man whose tired of hearing the random rants from our so called "intellectuals" to the everyday common "ignorant" free-spirits...This country will always have it's differences among race because we are the "melting" pot of the world (did we not pay attention in elementary social studies"...so to think this "utopia" exists is just a waste of thoughts...I attended The North Carolina A&T State Univ. before joining the US Air Force and I can agree w/ both sides of the spectrum, but that's only because I'm looking at it from both sides of the "spectrum"...let's face it "racism" is a double-edged sword but, let's not call racism on every little event that happens to show up in the news...the media is biased and they want you to feel a certain way about trash they post on the internet...The picture was great fuel for the fire but, i'm sure there were more contestants then the ones shown on the site...let's start using our thinking caps ppl...let's stop letting the media pit us agains one another...we need to stay strong as a race for when the real ish hits the fan...let's not claw at each other over trivial trifles when the picture is so much bigger...I love you all so much and it pains me to read these blogs and see how low we will stoop to slash each other's throats...let's bridge the gap and educate one other...until we unite as a people how can you possibly expect the world to view as such...Lead, Follow, or get the hell out of our way...we are stronger than this bretheren--time to start acting like it
