Seriously, is there actually any interest in the the Vandy game at this point, or whatever consolation bowl there is? Is there any pride left in this team? I was gonna spend $ to go the bowl if they won out and were not selected for the CFP, but now why drop all that cash for pathetic football? Love my Vols but its like dating a beautiful woman who will randomly be terrific or kick you in the nuts.
I am in the same camp. I already moved $ around to have and to go where ever they landed in the CFP. It was a done deal in my book. I’ve watched them in the MCB twice. Not into a making a trip to amid tier bowl if they are going to perform like that. Watch em on the couch. Live in Oregon. Just not feeling it as much if they are going to mail it in like that. Confused and mad this morningSeriously, is there actually any interest in the the Vandy game at this point, or whatever consolation bowl there is? Is there any pride left in this team? Um, absolutely there is interest. I HATE Vanderbilt and the thought of losing to them is intolerable to me. I’m gonna be in Nashville on the 26th for Thanksgiving break and I’ll be damned if I’m not there supporting this team against those losers. Beat Vanderbilt, and I don’t see how you aren’t still in line for the Sugar. Bama and UT will have the same record and UT beat Bama head to head.

How they finish this season against Vandy and the bowl game will say a lot about Heupel as a coach and the guys coming back next season.
Yeah....there isn't much to play for at this point other than pride.
But coming back strong and focused from this choke job is important for rebuilding the program.
Losing to Vandy would pretty much flush most of the good will and momentum built up this season down the toilet.
Something tells me that Milton is going to ball out. And honestly if he does, we don't have to play the game of basing preseason expectations for 2023 off his offseason / spring game performances.
If he goes out and hangs 5-8 touchdowns over next 2 games, he will shut a lot of people up who are hesitant / antsy about him being the starter in 2023.
I hope he does.
Milton blowing up and seizing the job would get one major issue settled right off the bat going into next year.
I am still in believe it when I see it mode with him but optimistic based on the upside.
I am probably as worried about what they do with this pass defense next season.
It has sucked for 2 seasons now and obviously got exposed last night with everything on the line. Something needs to change in that front ASAP.
Friends and I said the same last night. Were likely to spend thousands for CFP or high tier bowl. Now we’ll be watching from home. But who’s going to do the same for the Outback Bowl? It’s asinine to say I’m disappointed in a 9-2 but last night just hurt a little different than other years.
Yeah. We have fast receivers. I fully expect to see some early deep bombs (50 yards plus) just to see if Vandy can physically keep up with our guys. I imagine Milton to Hyatt could occur a lot these next two games.
