I’m On The Record…..

I think we see a situation where the stars all lined up= great athletes ( QB/Receivers/Running backs/O line etc) along with great coaching skills. This is by far the best Tn team I've ever seen in my almost 70 years. They play hard with few penalties and expect to score every time they have the ball. This fast pace offense only works when everyone is on the same page which means they bring what they practice to the game. Love watching them play.

Just work and study hard all weak and pay attention to the little details.

TAKE that field between the hedges with a lazor focus and EXECUTE like you've been taught t do.

Have lots of fun and bring home another big WIN which will put you in front to also WIN the SEC East Championship so you'll get to play in the SEC Championship game.

Step by step and week by week keep having fun and getting those WINS!

We totally BELIEVE in you guys and all our coaches!

You CAN keep doing this and now lots of the people all around the world KNOW this too.

Refuse to be denied and NEVER quit or give up, NEVER!!!

Our Tennessee footVOL Team is simply the best!!!

We all love you guys!

VFL...GBO!!!

Wrong, we turned the ball over against Bama twice, and got bailed out by the refs on another. Against great teams, we are even but we have prevailed on the home turf. Neutral fields are different but we are improving week to week which is something we haven’t seen in decades. 98 was like that and Tempe was glorious.
I think we are plus 8 on the turnover margin; Hooker has thrown only one int. in 8 games.

After the 2020 suk'y debacle I thought I would never spend the effort to come back to Neyland (I was a season ticket holder from 1989 to 2006).... our friends offered us tix for the game yesterday and I still have chills from the whole experience, tailgating with Momma and Dad Hyatt & meeting Trey Smith.... the NA, F35 flyover, celebration of SEC champions, The Pride's spooky halftime, and the mildcat massacre.

Obviously our offense is the best ever through the Kentucky game. There’s plenty of football left to see how this season wraps up. I expect our offense to continue to improve till the last game is won. Why wouldn’t I?

Obviously our defense isn’t the greatest(Neyland’s gave up zero all regular season.) of all time, it’s no slouch either. I expect Georgia to score some points, but not enough to keep up with Hooker and his crew.

Vols win by double digit.

In the long drought I wondered if I was ever going to get the chance to enjoy the bliss I felt watching Tennessee football in the 90's with Peyton and Tee. I never dreamed I would be savoring this feeling in only the second year of a new coach after the chain of dumpster fire coaches.

But here it is. Thank you Lord. Prayers answered. I am wallowing in the pleasure of Vol success.

Even better is watching the players after an explosive play. How they interact with each other, support each other if someone blows it. They are in it all together, a TEAM. We have stars, but no prima donnas. Success and acclaim thus far has been well earned, nothing has been given to UT in media or in respect by other teams. They only admitted UT was back when the evidence was undeniable.

The teamwork has made that evidence undeniable.

It is indeed GREAT to be a Tennessee Vol.

I've been watching UT football since 1965. We've had many better defenses than this one (up to this point in the season, who knows how this defense will evolve by end of season). But we have never had a better offense, and it isn't close, IMO. The best QB, the run game, the OL, and the heaven sent WR's are all combining to be a better offense than the offense of our dreams.

I just posted something similar on Facebook. I hope everyone appreciates what we are having the opportunity to witness. This is a special team and a special season that doesn’t come around very often. They are the very definition of being greater than the sum of their parts.
I for one will not pay attention to rankings, playoff predictions, etc. I was 20 years old when we won it all in 98 and just assumed that success would be easy to sustain. Now after many humbling and painful years I’m just going to focus on enjoying this very special team every single game.
This kind of success will be hard to sustain year end and year out. But if Nick can do it at Bama, like others at other successful schools, why not Josh! I just hope expectations aren't raised too much. I heard it said one time that Fulmer was a victim of his own success when he got fired. It prompted my Dad who was here at the time to coin the phrase "What have you done for me lately?" A coach of a team can have 10, 11, or even 12 wins last season, only 5, 6 or 7 this season and be on the hot seat.
