That if Strong isn't hired as UT's new HC then what the hell, Go after Jim Tressel and take the hit...Let him get a top assistant to be interim for the first 5 games and then let him go to work afterwards of fixing this mess...I mean looking at the schedule next season its going to be rough to make a bowl game so go ahead and let him go to work recruiting and then 2014 cut it loose and get back in the game...I was not for Tressel but the more I think about it it may be the best choice for us right now....What do you all think?

This thing really looked like they knew what they were doing (being that it was tight lipped) but really now looks like they had no clue or spent too much time with Gruden. I think we are going to settle for someone that is not the right fit for this program.

If strong say's not we'll end up with some no name again, and they'll pay them million's with a huge buyout for when they get fired

Hart is a genious everyone. Just be patient. Just keep lowering your expectations and VN will be fine.

Nope, Petrino will not be offered anything from UT this coaching cycle. Tressel is next in line!

Yeah i mean if we're really down to bargain basement hunting now.. Petrino is still the best coach out there.. He's better than Strong or Gundy... You can get him cheap.. Hire a good DC and win games.... Maybe he won't wreck his motorcycles here... He'd stay for a while also..

I don't get it. So now they're gonna throw bags of money at Strong and try and out bid Louisville. Not taking anything away from Coach Strong but he's only been a head coach for 3 years and now all of sudden he deserves $3.7+ million a year. That just doesn't make sense to me.

I agree go after Tressel or Petrino.

I honestly think Petrino has been blackballed by the SEC AD's...You would think he would at least been mentioned for jobs with all that were open...I certainly wouldn't say no if he wanted the job but don't see it happening.

Tressel won a lot of ball games at Ohio State... Couldn't beat a SEC team to save his life though..

I thought Auburn was thinking about contacting him, but they went with Malzahn.

Cuz they don't grow SEC talent up North.

But he did dominate recruiting vs his Big 10 peers.

Dude can flat out coach. if he has 1/2 the success actually bringing in the players in the South that he did from the North, we'll be in it every year.

When Tressel took the OSU job he said he would own Michigan...And he DID!...so maybe he can turn it around vs Florida or Alabama...He is a hell of a recruiter thats for sure.

We give coaches here Lexus' to wreck. We also throw in co-ed's for free.

I have said this all along. But Gart will not do it. I think Hart isn't stupid and knows Strong will turn us down. He wants to bring in Smart and has to make it look like his last option. Flame away. This is my opinion. We would be much better off with Jim Tressel, Patrino or Butch Davis. But these coaches would accept this position: therefore, they are not on his list!

I agree, I didn't want to sketchy coach but these guys are probably they only coaches that want to come here.

Its kinda like when you hook up with an ugly chick just to get your mojo going again!
