Him or Petrino if it isn't Strong.

Mr. Hart is tripping, for real. I like Strong and all, but this is Tennessee and we are giving your dumb a$$ a once in a lifetime opportunity. You are either with us, or you're dead. Stay at UL and get ran over in the ACC and look for a job afterwards, *******. ShEt is getting ridiculous!

We give coaches here Lexus' to wreck. We also throw in co-ed's for free.
I'll take the job.. I'd even be a upgrade over Dooley. I like Co-ed's :):):) Couldn't care less for the higher end Toyota though.... They'd have to give me a Vette or the deal would be off...

I have said this all along. But Gart will not do it. I think Hart isn't stupid and knows Strong will turn us down. He wants to bring in Smart and has to make it look like his last option. Flame away. This is my opinion. We would be much better off with Jim Tressel, Patrino or Butch Davis. But these coaches would accept this position: therefore, they are not on his list!
He won't bring in smart...He is only going after coaches who have head coaching experience...He said that during the press conference...No Smart at Tennessee.

Make sure you ask for the ZR1, don't let them go cheap.

I'll be honest I was upset that we were considering Petrino as headcoach.

Now I know he wants to get back into coaching so I'll meet everyone half-way and say Make him offensive coordinator if he really wants a job.

Hire either strong or Tressell. Any two combinations would know how to win.

What does everyone think.

Sounds good on paper, but Petrino would be gone after a year or two max. There will be a school in the ACC or Big 12 that will take a chance on him if not next year, then the year after.

Petrino over Strong and Tressel by a long shot!

Agreed! Petrino has had proven success in the SEC. I know he has a "past" but I'd feel confident that he is smart enough to know that he's down to his last opportunity and would tow the line. Plus we could get him for a song and could leverage a huge buyout along with a stipulation the he pay a large chunk back to the university if he tries to bail. Petrino is head and shoulders the best candidate still on the board. Lets just hold our nose and make the deal!!

I was hoping that Hart would be able to pull off the Gruden option. Then, Ok I can live with Fisher. Not coming, Ok Gundy or Mora are great options. No? Ok I can fall in line with Strong, he has some potential and could develope into a good coach.. Another no, and I guess I'll have to like Fedora, or Golden, or.......
