Sad thing is....we've had Nico on the bench while watching the "not so talented senior quarterback leading this team." This is college football!!! Not middle school. Play the best players for god's sakes! It's all about the money and ratings. If Josh and Danny can't see this, good riddens! Go play somewhere else besides the SEC! It may have suited you both well at UCF, but this is a big money football conference. As long as these two work together, this football team will be average and that's it. Congrats on making all the money in the world with the University of Tennessee, but this has been nothing short of a misleading group of individuals that have no desire to represent this state to the fullest of it's capability. Live it up Coach and AD! Hope the money serves you well while the average fan suffers for your decision making.

We don't know the true story behind why Milton got the start but I will say there were far more issues with the offense than just Milton.

Firing Danny and Heupel is absolute stupidity considering the slop we got in the past at AD and HC. They are the best AD/HC combo in Knoxville since the 1990s.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out QB and edge are the most important positions and we’re set at both for next year. Tennessee is elite at both positions. Nico at QB, running 3 deep at edge. We’ll be a solid team in 2024, by default.

Next positions in line would be tackle and CB. Need another tackle out of the portal. CB could be pretty decent, but we aren’t elite there either. So I think we’ll be a 9 or 10 win team, but I think it’s impossible to hit 11 or 12 unless we upgraded tackle and CB significantly. Confident every other position group will be at least solid except maybe S.

Saban has mishandled multiple QB situation. Calm down lol. There's a good argument not to have played him, at least early.

I too think that Heup should have given Nico more playing time this past season, with an eye on having him more ready for next year. Redshirt years are not worth so much with players with potential. He will have OOC games next year in which to gain more experience, but he's still going to be quite raw and inexperienced when the SEC foes roll into town. But it's a moot point now.

The first big test will be NC State. Frankly, they are a better opponent than half our SEC schedule.

Cautiously Optimistic for 2024. While there are some bright spots to the future, we're still a year or two away from competing with Georgia and Alabama on a regular basis.

The OL, Nico staying healthy and a defense with a heartbeat, will be key to having a successful season.

Yeah, Nico seems small. I did get nervous sometimes when he scrambled the other day. His build reminds me of Ainge and Ainge got hurt a lot. Still we got an entire offseason to beef him up, work on things, etc.

Nico has national championship type talent. If our OL can be healthy / solid and our defense take another step forward then I don’t see any guaranteed losses next season. Not predicting 13-0, but not seeing any ceiling of 8-9 wins either. Going to be a fun season ahead IMO.

I think this team would be very hard pressed to win in Athens. I also think winning in Norman is going to be a challenge as well. Both of those games look like Ls right now.

Heupel teams tend to struggle in conference road games.

However, a 10-2 season would likely be good enough to make CFB Playoffs and I could see a 10-2 season as a possibility. Key will be beating Alabama, NC State, and not losing a game we are supposed to win (like the game against Florida this past year).
