I've been a Dooley supporter through and through... I think he sounds like a great long term coach for us... And definitely understands "the big picture"... But coaching in the SEC comes down to 2 things: wins/losses and a dominating defense. We at UT are used to both (the latter especially)... Our defense is unforgivably bad... And our HC's inability to recognize our weaknesses and take responsibility makes me think he doesn't have a sense of urgency... But the fact of the matter is although we aren't an elite team, we are underachieving... And to me that's on the head coach... Our overall performance is a reflection of the coaching staff... And last week's game told me that although our head ball coach may have focused on D in the first half, he didn't carry through with it the rest of the game... But the final straw to me was how he let the clock run out in the 4th quarter... This goes back to my point about lacking a sense of urgency... I mean try to win the freaking ballgame!!! It just baffles me that this is the same team that thumped NC State in Atlanta... If we played them this week they'd hang 60 on us... And there is nothing that a player or coach can tell me that excuses that level of regression... Sorry Dooley, but I think you've forced Dave Hart's hand... Does anybody want this job right now? I really really hope so... Because you haven't earned another year at this point... If Dooley is still around next year then that means we couldn't hook a big fish bad he's just on borrowed time until we do... Either way, I think we're in the waiting period because Hart has to make the right hire to replace him...
