Maybe. I remember a couple of years ago when Col. Robert K. Morgan died, his funeral was held at the Veterans Cemetary about a mile east of where I live.
As you may know Morgan piloted the B17 Memphis Belle in WWII that the movie was loosely based on.
It was a sunny summer Saturday afternoon and I was sitting in my yard when this monstrous green B52 came swooping by over my yarde just above the tree tops. It continued on to the east and after it passed the cemetary it climbed on out of sight. A couple of minutes later a genuine B17 accompanied by a P51 fighter came by. They circled and then the P51 peeled off and made another long circle away from the bomber , I guess like a missing man maneuver.
All I can say is, it was hard to hold back the tears. Maybe over-rated to you but I felt extremely grateful to the USAF and the Confederate AF for honoring our war hero. I won't ever forget it.
Well, I'll be headed off for Knoxville within the hour. Hopefully this will be a straight up slugfest with no excuses from Refs, not playing to proven potiential, etc and will make for a great game.
