Of course, they'll be hoping he gets arrested and charged with domestic violence or similar. Theyll be happy as a pig in chit and telling us how right they were.

Absurd that debate is reduced to this. No way anyone not in favor of him returning to the football team is hopeful of a DV or similar charge. The above assertion is as ridiculous as the rubbish Jeremy was spewing from his mouth that got him in this situation.

I overlooked nothing.. he didn't HURT anyone.. slapped a phone from someone's hand could mean many things if you weren't there you can't judge. Did she press charges? what was the context? how do you define slapping a phone from someone's hand? What's the normal punishment for that? I am a person very wary of such things. I spent a year on the court not too long ago because a woman I broke up with went and told the police I punched her in the wrist. Her words against mine. I never laid a hand in violence on her once in the time we knew each other much less went all ninja and precision punched her in the wrist. I know and she knows for a fact nothing she said ever happened but I had to cop a plea because there was a greater then 0% chance if it went to trial the jury convicts me because people like yourself sit on it. Lucky for me I had no criminal record at all so am able to get it all wiped from my record.

I have learned from experience that there are always two sides to every story and the one you see reported in the news and especially in social media is almost always gonna skip over people like me and Banks' side. It's a fact I've lived it for 45 years. I am not angry or feeling like the world is against me it just is what it is. if this same exact thing happened to say the punter or long snapper this never makes the news. the police involved never share their bodycam footage and we never hear about it. This is a fact.

Why not err on the side of giving him a chance and perhaps he won't screw up, and make something good of himself. Put the option in his hands. Kids sometimes need a wake up call. For what it's worth, I was appalled and offended by his diatribe in the cop car. Tossing him insures this behavior continues (and he might end up a gator..heh heh) but giving him an opportunity to see the light, better himself and learn from it, might be good for all in the long haul. Zero tolerance with him though.. Zero. One strike you're out.

This is one of the stupidest posts I have read on the subject so far. If a criminal is placed on probation by a judge (any crime, any criminal) rather than serve any jail time, I may disagree with the judge's decision; however, I would not want the criminal to continue in their criminal ways- in order to make my point. This is about as stupid as supporting a racial bigot to be on the Tennessee Football team. I realize there are still a few racial bigots and those that support racial bigotry around, they are more easily found on message boards than in public. In public they know they are wrong, but they feel free to support or express their racial bigotry on line, sad.

I would have zero problem with him transferring to Florida.

As a parent I know my kid is going to do some really DA stuff, I would hope nothing as stupid as Banks. That said I would hope anyone I’ve entrusted to coach him not just as a player but a young man wouldn’t just cut bait as soon as he’s a problem. And yeah you’ll get no argument the kid is an idiot but he can hopefully learn and get better as a person.

An ungrateful kid who is given the chance that very few get and show thanks the way he did can deal with the consequences. And once again for the illiterate among us I am behind whatever coach Pruitt decides. This decision and whatever comes out of it will not effect my life 1% either way. But I will never "keep it to myself" when ungrateful people belittle and harass police officers for doing their job. It is not their fault Jeremy committed an offense that got him pulled over just as it's not their fault Jeremy chose not to show up for court and had his license suspended. The only way to stop this from happening is to show people that this kind of behavior is never ok immature kid or not.
