80% on Cuonzo Martin and 20% on poor execution.

Alabama had their back up big guys in and the game plan should have been obvious. He should have played two big guys the whole game. Both Stokes and Maymon are athletic and can guard the wing if necessary.

I understand they were playing 4 guards and it presented mismatches, but if we would have started tearing up the offensive glass, they would have been hurting far more than us.

We shot a ton of three pointers and we played their game and I blame 80% of that on CCM and the coaching staff.

The knee jerk reaction on this board is ridiculous, I bet you were the same guy praising CCM after Florida.

It's a freaking loss it happens. We have a crappy team, you can only do so much as a coach, good god.

You realize that Stokes had 2 fouls with 16:00 left in the 1st half, right? We don't have quality big men when foul trouble occurs.

until we dedicate to an inside-out game plan we are going to keep being inconsistent. Have to get the ball inside early and often IMO

80% is to high.

The problem was we didn't breakdown the 3/4 court zone press. You have to attack the middle and then get a 3 on 2 break. Instead, we tried to carefully bring the ball up and get into our half-court... which is miserable against the 2-3 zone the press falls back into.

Good game plan by Coach Grant. BAD adjusting by CCM and staff.

Never , and I mean NEVER,

blame the coach when just a couple of days ago people were declaring said coach to be
considered for SEC coach of the year. Those types of coaches cant be blamed.

Give me a break!!!!

.01 % Martin's fault 99.99% poor guard play!

All team's have to do to beat us is press and play zone. Our guards can not handle the press and shoot the ball consistant enough to win against the zone.

We need at least one more guard during the spring signing period or next year will be more of the same.

Well you might be right. I do not think you are. And i believe coach Martin is a better coach then Pearl. He has alot less talent than Pearl had. Let see what Martin can do with some talent. We will be better next year after a year under Martin.

I blame it on the pornstache

I don't blame him, because he has been really productive as of late.
It is evident though that when he shoots to his ability, we win games. I just hope they pick it up, and irregardless we have played above expectations this year. It's called rebuilding for a reason, and I think CCM has laid a solid foundation of ethics, tough play, and a more effective long term strategy than we had previously. I doubt we would have made the tourney this year with Bruce either (I know this will start a sh!t storm about that comparison) but the cupboards would have been equally as bare with him at the helm.

hard to feed the post when you are getting zoned and you have pathetic guard play. Also hard to feed the post when your guards can't beat the press very effectively.

19 points off of 17 turnovers, most of which were bad passes, will beat you every time.

Also hard to feed the post when you don't know how to pass the ball into the post, just something else the guards need to work on

The up and down attitude we have for our HC's is just crazy...If the team hit those same shots they had hit the previous 2 games we win.....The same problems we have had all year showed up again today, so why is anyone surprised...I think we should feel good that we have been able to win as many games as we have, with the makeup of the team...Everyone will be back next year, and have a better hold on the system and what kinds of things need to be done, to become more productive as they learn to play to each other's strengths...Let this man do his job...
