I can finally start a thread...so here's my first. Where's the coaching?

So what you're saying is you think my above example has no merit?

I put an example of poor coaching up top. The people who object have yet to offer up a reason why that occurred at the end of the game and also haven't offered up an example of good coaching specifics.

Did I say your name?

My post was in response to the poster who played for Martin years ago, and was cautioning people to think before posting some of the things they've said.

I just think it would be wildly entertaining to watch some posters who think they can out scheme someone from a message board, take a crack at actually coaching a high major D1 team. I think it would make for a hell of a reality show, don't you?

Actually, it would be entertaining. ESPN could air it weekly and call it "Coaches on couches". I'd watch it.

Wtf does my post have to do with CCM?

Dude...in case you haven't noticed...every post you make is in defense of CCM. Those who question his abilities are the ones you're calling out in your post...so, that's wtf it has to do with CCM.

Get your head out of CCM's a$$ and start seein it for what it is.

Right?

I think it's an awesome idea, and who knows maybe they'd find a decent coach who would get hired by a real school.

The issue would obviously be finding a school willing to be the dummy school.

You are a lost sheep aren't you? Appropriate name.

The post had nothing to do with CCM, take it for what it is. If you've never seen me criticize Martin then you're a damn fool and honestly don't even deserve this response.

Tennessee seems to have some experience with that. Perfect fit.

Would have a very high level of unintentional comedy. And yes, I would absolutely watch.

There is a lot going into being a hc that I couldn't handle, including recruiting. A ton. But we are talking about 40 minutes against another team.

I'll argue all day that I could coach a better game than saturday without one doubt. 4-5 basic coaching moves and you win the game, vs the moves that lose it. Same with nc state.
I mean, to think that I or one of my handpicked assistants wouldn't have a plan for the aggies missing, tying, or hitting a 3? I imagine the pick and pop from the guy with 19 in the second half surprised them as well?
Its basic and you either know it or you don't, regardless of your experience.

Assuming you are referring to the winning shot, I would bet you and your staff would have been surprised by the pick and pop by the guy who had 19 in the second half (Jamal Jones). Why? Because he didn't shoot it. Antwan Space hit the game-winner. He had attempted one shot all game prior to that one.

Oopsies. I saw it from my phone and turned it off after Mcraes shot. Assumed it was the same guy.

Lol...I'm just bustin your balls. I agree with a lot of what you said otherwise. Just thought in the context of the conversation that it was humorous.

Yes. It fit perfectly to the discussion and I walked right into it puffy chested.
As an excuse, I was rescued off the ski mountain that day so will claim it as the reason.

Well, FWIW, your time was better spent skiing than watching the second half of that game.

I hate the whole "Volnation posters think they can coach" argument. I don't have to be a mechanic to know my car's running like hell. I don't have to be a doctor to know I'm sick. I also don't have to be a coach to know my team is not playing to potential, or downright pitiful. I also don't have to be a coach to know that sitting on timeouts while the other team is making runs, or while your player is trapped on the baseline in a critical possession, is simply airheaded coaching.

Basketball is not rocket science. It doesn't take a PhD to understand the game. Let's not act like it does.

No offense but I think he's talking about people like you. The actual game of basketball isn't rocket science but coaching is a bigger challenge. I agree that our team isn't playing up to it's potential but I feel like there's more to the situation than simply motivation or X's and O's.

Never said I can do a better job. Keanu Reeves is a horrible actor but not saying I can do better. I've played a lot of basketball and watched a lot of basketball, enough to know that Cuonzo doesn't have it going on. The evidence agrees with me.
