I think the Pats are most likely the best football team the NFL has ever seen. I know the running game is just OK and D is solid but can you name one NFL team who could beat this team 2 out of three? I still hate them:)

85 Bears I think could beat them just because of their defense. Not sure about a best of series.

You forgot to mention how hot brady is, not just his looks but how he is playing. :):p

VolWindy, you let me down. I thought you had Beauty AND Brains.

On the topic, man, they look unbeatable. As i Kid, i was a Packers and Jets fan, and everyone here liked the Giants. The Pats were an afterthought.

Now, i get taunted for being a Packer fan by mobs of frontrunners. Kind of like you Southern folks who have herds of "Sox Fans" It's disgusting. They are a hell of alot better than anyone out there, but i hate them, more for the coach than the fans, but that's just the morning line. So go whoever beats them in the playoffs!!!!!!!

I would LOVE for a coach to beat New England, and meet Belichek at midfield, only to do Bullwinkle Antlers with his hands and Stick his tounge out.

Ottis Anderson can get 3.4YPC all day against anyone, Simms was smart, LT, Pepper, and company would do the job

 agreed. the pats today, really, could be just a souped up version of that team. though i still might take the steeler d of that team over this pats team, which would be the difference maker..........

If the sweatshirt guy keeps running the score up on beaten teams, he'll have to deal with a 3d string DT breaking his QB's leg. That will likewise make a difference

Not that cheap shots are accepable, but if my opponent is passing on 1st down when my team is down 5 TD's, i say "jakez4ut, hit that mother scratcher low and hard"

Toughness, talent, and chemistry. That team is my standard answer in any best ever discussion. People can bring up other teams, but they were truly the best.

i might be biased, but the best team I've ever seen is the '91 Redskins. I wasn't around for the '78 steelers and I apologize but I was only 4 for the bears, I don't really remember them. The Pats are good though. Really good. If Maroney and Morris can both get completely healthy, I think the running game will improve dramatically.

This isn't the best team ever. Not even close. Heck we don't even know if they are the best team this decade yet....

:mf_surrender: This has to do with the best team ever so putting the redskins down is like saying Bush is the best pres. ever:)

the '91 skins won 17 games, Had the year's best offense, and the best defense. In fact, they are second only to the '85 Bears in average margin of victory.

Art Monk not being in the HOF is one the biggest travesties in all of sports. They may not actually be the best ever, but they are definitely one of the best of the last 20 years.

I really can get mean if you start bashing the redskins teams of my childhood FV.
